Kaliurang-To increase students' knowledge, FK UII held a Guest Lecture visit to give lectures for 2013 batch students. Guest Lectures who were invited directly from Thailand, namely Prof. Dr. Polrat Wiliranata who discussed malaria with the theme "Comprehensive Management in Malaria". “During the last decade, the prevalence of malaria in the world has increased sharply. This increase has reached a level that needs to be watched out for. In Indonesia alone, the malaria morbidity rate is still quite high, especially in the eastern part of Indonesia. This is exacerbated by the increasing number of Plasmodium resistance to existing therapies which makes it more difficult to eradicate malaria,” said the Head of the FK UII collaboration, dr. Ninda Nova. The event which was held on Wednesday, 13 December 2016, 13.00 – 14.40, took place at GKU Prof. Dr. dr. Sardjito, MPH, East Wing, East Wing, UII Yogyakarta Integrated Campus discussed the course of malaria, and the latest therapies that should be given to patients with malaria. This activity was attended by 152 students from batch 2013 of FK UII. The participants seemed enthusiastic in listening to the material and following the course of an interactive discussion with Prof. Polrat guided by moderator dr. Ninda Devita who is also the chairman of the committee.
