Profile

The Department of Psychiatry is one of the departments under the Clinical Department of Medical Education Study Program (PSPD) FK UII which aims to support the vision and mission of the Faculty of Medicine, FK UII, namely as an institution that is rahmatan lil 'alamin, through chess dharma efforts, namely education, dedication society, research, and da'wah in the field of mental health.
At the undergraduate education level, the Department of Psychiatry organizes education in Psychiatry through a problem based learning (PBL) system, both through tutorials and expert lectures, so that it is integrated with other branches of medical sciences. At the professional education stage, the Department of Psychiatry organizes professional education through practical work at the FK UII Network Hospital. The educational process for the professional stage is carried out for 4 weeks, under the guidance of clinical educator lecturers.
Quality research in the field of Psychiatry is also continuously developed through the use of developments in medical technology, as well as the development of collaborations with various institutions and various scientific disciplines. Improving the quality of education is always carried out through various training workshops, seminars and presentations in various scientific forums both at home and abroad. Professional health services are also continuously developed in order to carry out the mandate of the people, namely to fulfill the need for quality services in the field of Psychiatry. Continuous Islamic da'wah continues to be carried out regarding the science of Psychiatry, through the integration of developments in medical science with the values ​​of the Qur'an and Al Hadith.
