Pharmacology Department

Profile

The Department of Pharmacology is one of the departments in the Bachelor of Medicine study program, Faculty of Medicine, UII, which in the organizational structure is under the Department of Medicine. Since 2001 the Pharmacology laboratory has provided academic services to students. The scope of the Pharmacology department includes teaching and research in the field of medicine and medicine, covering several aspects such as basic pharmacology, development of new drugs, prescribing and rational use of drugs, development and use of traditional medicines, and so on.

Pharmacology practicum is carried out in the Integrated Laboratory Building, Faculty of Medicine, UII.

The Pharmacology Department has several leading research topics in the field of developing new herbal-based drugs, using drugs in society and teaching pharmacotherapy.
