Medicine (UII News) – In order to help with the mass circumcision event for the citizens of Timor Leste, the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Islam Indonesia sent his medical team to make the event a success. As many people know, many East Timorese adhere to Islam but are not yet Khita, so the UII Faculty of Medicine has responded very much and is a form of implementing the UII Chess Dama in the field of community service.

This was conveyed by the Deputy Dean of Human Resources at the UII Faculty of Medicine, dr. Erlina Marfianti, M.Sc. Sp.PD while giving a speech at the release of the Mass Circumcision Medical Team to Dili, Timor Leste, on Thursday, 03 Muharom 1440 H / 13 September 2018 at the auditorium on the 1st floor of the Faculty of Medicine UII, Jalan Kaliurang Km.14.,5 Sleman Yogyakarta, which was attended by the Leaders of FIAI UII, DPPM UII, all FK UII Leaders, and the Medical Team of FK UII as many as 10 doctors.

Doctor Erlina Marfianti explained that there were 184 participants in the mass circumcision, with an average age of 35 years. In terms of religion, there were Muslims and there were also non-Muslims.

"This activity is a collaboration between the UII Faculty of Medicine, the UII Faculty of Islamic Studies and the Timor Leste An Nur Foundation," explained doctor Erlina.

Furthermore, this activity is a collaboration with the An Nur Foundation, which is an Islamic foundation in Timor Leste, which houses 5% of Timor Leste's population who adhere to Islam, and the foundation has collaborated with the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Islam Indonesia, Faculty of Islamic Studies Universitas Islam Indonesia.

Meanwhile, as Chair of the UII Medical Team for Timor Leste, dr. Muhammad Kharisama, explained that, there were 10 doctors from the UII Faculty of Medicine who were prepared for this activity

"We, as a medical team, will be in Timor Leste on Saturday-Sunday, 05-06 Muharom 1440 H / 15-16 September 2018, to kill 184 people, with 10 doctors, for two days, with a system of alternating times between morning and day," he said.
