Mass Circumcision Milad 72 UII Followed by 62 Children

Kaliurang (UII News) – As many as 60 children took part in the 72nd anniversary mass circumcision Universitas Islam Indonesia. This mass circumcision was carried out at the Minihospital of the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Islam Indonesia , Jl. Kaliurang Km.14,5 Sleman, Yogyakarta and was officially opened by the Vice Chancellor III Universitas Islam Indonesia, Dr. Abdul Jamil, SH.MH, on Saturday, 01 August 2015 / 15 Shawwal 1436 H, and was attended by Deputy Chancellor I UII. Dr. –Eng. Ilya Fajar Maharika, M.Arch, IAI., Dean of FK UII, dr. Linda Rosita, M.Kes, Sp.PK, Deputy Dean of FK UII, dr. Syaefudin Ali Akhmad, M.Sc.

        In his remarks at the opening of the mass circumcision event, WR. III UII, Dr. Abdul Jamil, SH, MH said that this circumcision is a culture that exists in our country, and understands how important it is for their children to be circumcised for the growth and health of their sons.

"This is in line with the progress of the times so that circumcision is not only performed by Muslims, but non-Muslims also follow it," said WR. III UII.

Chairman of the Committee, dr. Zainuri Sabta Nugraha, M.Sc (Lecturer of FK UII) in his statement said that apart from Sleman residents, residents from the cities of Yogyakarta, Bantul, Gunung Kidul and even Magelang, Central Java, participated in this mass circumcision.

        "The total number of children who participated in the circumcision was 60 children with the smallest age being 2 years and the largest being 13 years," he explained.

Doctor Zainuri continued, in this ritual, the participants received facilities in the form of sarongs, koko clothes, caps, 100 thousand pocket money, as well as meals and snacks each in 3 copies of cardboard with details for participants and 2 companions.

"It is hoped that after being circumcised, all participants can follow the instructions given by the UII Medical Faculty Circumcision Team, namely procedures for post-circumcision care, and take medicine regularly so that they recover quickly, and on Monday, August 03 2015 can come to FK UII for control. post-circumcision", hoped the Head of FK UII Circumcision Team.
