Research conducted with non-experimental observational case control methode with retrospective approach in infants aged 12-59 months with the number of children under five at 68 months from January to May 2010. In this Study, the subjects were divided into two groups of cases (children under five with diarrhea) and control groups (nondiarrheal infants and children). The result based on age weight (BB/U) showed good nutritional status of 58.8% and 41.2% for groups of cases of malnutrition. For the control group showed 94.1% with good nutrition status and 5.9% underweight. Analysis using Chi-Square test ang Odds Ratio. In Chi-Square Test shows that there are differences of nutritional status of children 12-59 months old infant with diarrhea and no diarrhea (p=0.001 or p<0.05). Odd Ratio analysis test showed that undernourished infants and children who will experience diarrhea incidence 9.8 times greater than the good nutrition of children under five (OR=9.800, CI=2.001 to 48.001). Conclusions from this study indicate that less nutritional status affects 9.8 times diarrhea than children of the nutritional status of children both in the area of Puskesmas Petahanan Kebumen.
