Efforts to Develop Islamic Medicine, FK UII Attends FOKI

Kaliurang (UII News) – In order to strengthen friendship ties between FOKI members so as to strengthen cooperation between institutions of Islamic medical faculties in Indonesia and increase insight and share experiences in curriculum development, research, community service, and governance of medical faculties in Indonesia, the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Islam Indonesia attended the Islamic Medicine Forum (FOKI) event Annual Meeting in 2019.

This was conveyed by the Dean of FK UII, doctor Linda Rosita, M.Kes, Sp.PK after attending the Islamic Medicine Forum (FOKI) Annual Meeting in 2019, on Friday, July 12 2019 at the Faculty of Medicine, Nahdlatul Ulama University Surabaya with doctor Erlina Marfianti, M.Sc, Sp.PD (Wadek SD), doctor Nur Aisyah Jamil, M.Sc (Wadek KAK) and Head of Study Program Bachelor of Medicine doctor Umatul Khoiriyah, M.Med.Ed, PhD.

According to the Dean of FK UII, the Indonesian Islamic Medicine Forum (FOKI) is one of the institutional forums for Islamic Higher Education in Indonesia which seeks to realize the development of Islamic medicine in Indonesia.

In the FOKI event Annual Meeting 2019 will be accompanied by scientific activities related to Islamic medical education. For scientific works that pass the selection, we will publish them in International Islamic Medical Journal and Medical Health ScienceJournal managed by the Faculty of Medicine, Nahdlatul Ulama University, Surabaya.

"UII's Faculty of Medicine has played an active role in FOKI, currently UII's FK is the PIC of the Islamic Medicine Curriculum and in 2021 will host International Conference of Medical Education ICME which is a regular forum from Federation Islamic Medical Association FIMA”, said doctor Linda Rosita, M.Kes, Sp.PK-Dean of FK UII.

Furthermore, Mrs. Dean said that another goal of participating and attending the event was to increase collaboration, especially in the field of research and scientific publications both

nationally and internationally as well as increasing competence hard skills and soft skill lecturer at the Islamic medical faculty in education and teaching. Wibowo
