Alumni of the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Islam Indonesia (FK UII) coordinated by the League of Volunteers and Doctorpreneur ex. UNISIA (LEVODOPA) provides free health services to residents in Pring Tali Hamlet, Jati Mulyo, Girimulyo, Kulon Progo. The activity which took place on Saturday, 19 November 2016 was welcomed by the residents with great enthusiasm considering that the area is quite far in the hills with not very good road conditions, including access to the nearest Health Center. So that with this social service program it can provide benefits and convenience for members of the public to get health services and consult directly with doctors.

Doctor Dimas Satya Hendarta as the Chief of LEVODOPA explained that on this occasion his team is working with the Yogyakarta State University Mathematics Student Association (HIMATIKA) which is holding its annual work program, namely the HIMATIKA Social Action 2016. "This medical examination and treatment event was attended by 70 participants with various ages and diseases, such as ARI, osteoarthritis, diabetes, hypertension, and so on. On average, these diseases are also related to their lifestyle and environment, so apart from providing medication, of course we are also trying to educate the risk factors so that they are also cooperative in supporting the treatment being carried out, "he explained.

Apart from dr. Dimas, another UII FK alumni who also participated was dr. Anisa Rachmawati, dr. Chaula Lutfia, dr. Putri Rizki Dwiguna, dr. Mely Eka Jayanti, and dr. Prita Murani. Apart from that, there are also Hefson Agung and Irfaanstio, class 2013 students participating in the LEVODOPA Medical Student Developmental Program (MDP), who also assisted in drug services,

"We involve these students in events like this primarily to train their social sensitivity so that one day they will be moved to become doctors who are of great benefit to the people. Apart from that, of course, they can also gain knowledge and hands-on experience in terms of clinical pharmacology that so far they can only find in text book” concluded dr. Dimas. (DSH/Tri)[:]
