Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) in Pregnancy (Case Report)

Abstract:

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic autoimmune disease with multiple clinical manifestations. SLE can affect the multi-organ vitals. Pregnancy with all the consequence usually has many problems in SLE patients. Therapy for SLE in pregnancy is more complex. We reported patient a pregnancy woman, 16 years old gravid 27 weeks that diagnosed SLE with manifestations of kidney as lupus nephritis and hematologic as autoimmune hemolytic anaemia. Diagnosis is determined by anamnesis, physical examination, and laboratory examination. Patients get treatment with high dose methylprednisolone orally 1mg/kg/BW, for life saving. Methylprednisolone was used because they are safe for the fetus. Follow up the patients in ward and polyclinic showed clinically and laboratory parameters improvement. Patient in good condition until delivery of a healthy baby.
