Peace be upon you, and Allah's mercy and blessings

Don't we all realize that health is a very valuable thing for every human being? We often hear someone say that being healthy is expensive. People who are sick and trying to recover even have to pay for treatment and buy other medicines. So we, thank God, are given health favors by Allah SWT, we must maintain the health of our bodies and souls as well as possible.

Efforts to maintain health of course a lot of manifold. Eat healthy food, exercise regularly, get enough rest, and so on. However, do you know that there are simple ways to maintain health, not only physically but also spiritually? Correct! Healthy with ablution. How can ablution affect our health? What are the benefits of doing ablution in the Quran?

The command to perform ablution is in the Al-Quran Surah Al-Ma'idah verse 6:

Meaning: O you who believe! When you are about to pray, then wash your face and your hands up to the elbows, and wipe your head and (wash) your feet up to the ankles. If you are junub, then take a bath. And if you are sick or on a journey or returning from a place to relieve oneself (latrine) or touch women, then if you do not get water, then do tayammum with good (holy) dust; wipe your face and your hands with it. Allah does not want to make things difficult for you, but He wants to cleanse you and perfect His favors for you, so that you will be grateful.

It was explained in the letter that ablution is not to make things difficult for ourselves, but to cleanse ourselves and increase gratitude. Ablution itself consists of several stages where when we carry out these stages in a coherent and perfect manner, God willing, our physical and spiritual cleanliness can be maintained. Here's an example:

  1. Ablution can keep the nose clean. When we perform ablution at the stage of inhaling water and then spitting it out again it can prevent the growth of germs in the nasal cavity. At least, we can prevent these germs from multiplying and multiplying.
  2. Ablution can maintain healthy mouth and teeth. When performing ablution, we are encouraged to rinse our mouths. This can reduce bacteria that can cause bad breath or inflammation and clean food debris stuck to the teeth.
  3. Ablution can prevent premature aging. Can it? Can you do it! When we wash our face and hair, the sweat and dirt on our skin will be swept away. In addition, it can also improve blood circulation and refresh the skin. Of course this makes us more fresh
  4. Ablution can cool the heart. When we are in a bad mood, try to make ablution. With ablution, our hearts can return to peace and our emotions become more controlled.
  5. Ablution can restore the spirit of life and maintain physical and spiritual health. When our body is tired after doing activities, then ablution can refresh the body again. Likewise when we are sleepy during class hours, immediately perform ablution to restore enthusiasm.

Masha Allah. It turns out that there are many benefits of ablution for our physical and spiritual health. Maintaining health seems to be possible through simple methods such as ablution because ablution can clean the smallest gaps that are not accessible when we bathe and can also cleanse the heart of bad intentions. Let's start maintaining the perfection of our ablution! God willing, we will get the favors of Allah SWT.

Wassalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh
