Class 2005 Reunion, Experience Transfer to FK UII students

Kaliurang (17/12) Faculty of Medicine Alumni Association (IKA). Universitas Islam Indonesia (FK UII) through IKA class of 2005 held a reunion as well as sharing experiences, knowledge and motivation to younger students of FK UII which took place in the auditorium on the 1st floor of FK UII on Saturday, December 17 2022, with the headline "Doctor What's Next?”. This activity was attended by 30 offline and online 2005 alumni, as well as 40 students consisting of the 2016 to 2022 batch. 

Take the pearl that we often hear "Experience is the best teacher". Then as quoted from Albert Einstein "The only source of knowledge is experience". Learning experiences from alumni is an epic moment for FK UII students, because many experiences and processes of achievement from alumni can be used as inspiration/reference for students to achieve the desired goals. This reunion activity was also used by the 2015 alumni as a moment of friendship and to strengthen ukhuwah among alumni's lecturers, students and colleagues. You can see the happiness on the faces of all the members of the extended family reunited.

Deputy Dean for Religion, Student and Alumni Affairs (KKA), dr. Zainuri Sabta Nugraha, M.Sc. deliver through speech. Becoming an alumni does not mean leaving the alma mater, but alumni are businesses and members of the FK UII extended family, synergize together in building outcome It is hoped that FK UII is getting better, and it is hoped that FK UII alumni who have spread across various provinces will be able to run/enliven FK UII alumni institutions in every branch/province that have been formed or not yet formed.

Zainuri added "with the development and competition of medical education institutions, teaching staff is the main challenge, for that we can communicate to alumni who have teaching credentials to join and help FK UII develop". He explained while giving a speech.

Before the presentation session dr. Kiki Widyastuti, Sp.P, M.Kes, who is always the head of IKA FK UII, gave an online speech and at the same time expressed gratitude and gratitude to the 2005 class alumni who had properly initiated this activity. "Hopefully, younger students can gain as much knowledge as possible from the presentation of the experiences of your brothers and sisters who were present, all of whom were extraordinary," he concluded.

The session continued with delivery sharing experience, the first session was delivered by dr. Dita Anggara Kusuma, Sp.OT(K), there are many things that can be taken from the material, especially in taking the Specialist Medical Education Program (PPDS), including "Do what you need to do and prepare the equipment", then "Being a doctor becomes a lifelong learner" his message . Moving on to the second session delivered by Sea Captain (K) dr. Sujek Miko Eka Putra is one of the 2005 alumni who has worked as a military doctor. The message conveyed to students was that there were many opportunities and advantages when becoming a military doctor as written in his presentation.

In the third session of exposure share knowledge delivered by dr. Maharani Ayu Kusumaningrum, on this occasion the experience she explained was a journey in developing beauty clinics, boutiques and salons that now have 30 employees. The message conveyed to students is that being a businessman must be brave and mentally prepared, and of course one must always study and learn.

The last presentation session was delivered by dr. Rianti Maharani, M.Sc as an expert on herbal medicine, the message that was instilled in students was that "the medical profession can reach fields of scientific discipline that have never been heard of while on campus, therefore broaden your outlook and look for this information from alumni starting from this," he concluded. After the presentation session was finished, it was followed by a discussion session, this session was the session students had been waiting for to ask questions intents until time seemed so fast that the session was ended by the host. Furthermore, to enliven the series of events and as a form of knowledge transfer, the 2005 alumni also gave door prizes and souvenirs to students. (Ra)
