Kaliurang (UII News) – In order to be successful in achieving their children's studies in medical studies, parents need to establish communication with the Faculty of Medicine (FK) Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII).

This was conveyed by Dr.Ir. Harsoyo, M.Sc delivering his speech at the Faculty of Medicine's Parent/Guardian Gathering Forum (FOSMA) Universitas Islam Indonesia, on Saturday, 05 Shafar 1437 H / 05 November 2016 at the KH. Abdul Kahar Muzakir, Ulil Albab Mosque, UII Integrated Campus, Jl. Kaliurang Km.14,5 Sleman Yogyakarta which was attended by the parents of new students class of 2016.

According to the Chancellor of UII, basically the process of education in tertiary institutions cannot be left entirely to the campus, because the condition of students who are overseas is a separate obstacle. Parents need to establish communication and synergy with the faculty as the party that is entrusted with guiding students. The cooperation and synergy of these two parties must go hand in hand so that supervision of students can also run more effectively.

“Good communication will lead to optimal support for the success of student studies. Realizing the importance of this role, we, as university leaders, will of course always support the existence of FOSMA FK UII," said Mr. Harsoyo's speech.

Meanwhile, dr. H. Hamengkubowo, M.Pd, one of the parents representing all parents, stated in his remarks that he felt very touched and proud of the opportunity given to the children of parents of 2016 new students to be able to gain knowledge and participate in education, research and dedication to the Faculty. UII Medicine.

“We know that the UII Faculty of Medicine has the advantage of a curriculum that is integrated with Islamic values in the educational process to produce Muslim medical graduates as the implementation of the vision of rahmatan lil'alamin. Fac. UII Medicine is recognized by BAN PT with an “A” accreditation category, in response to their excellence and professionalism, let us applaud and congratulate the UII Faculty of Medicine and all of its academic community, “said his speech.

In line with UII Chancellor's message, dr. Linda Rosita, M.Kes, Sp.PK as Dean of the Faculty of Medicine (FK) Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) invites all parents to become more familiar with all the processes in the learning system at the UII FK Medical Education Study Program, so that they can lead their beloved sons and daughters to become professional Muslim doctors. Of course, assistance from parents is needed, because the learning process at PSPD is certainly different from the conditions in previous high schools.

According to the Dean, the challenge for the medical profession in the future will be even greater, both in global and regional competition. The challenge of competition in the country is the choice of doctors as primary health care.

"So this has spurred doctors who graduated from Indonesia to improve the quality of their competence. This has to be started during the school period to prepare well," said doctor Linda Rosita, M.Kes, Sp.PK. Wibowo
