Kaliurang (UII News) – Indonesia International Education & Training Expo (ETE) is the oldest and largest higher education expo in Indonesia organized by WP Citra and supported by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education and the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia.

This was conveyed by doctor Dimas Satya Hendarta, as chairman of the Promotion and Cooperation Unit (UPKS) of the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Islam Indonesia, after participating in the 2019 Indonesia International Education & Training Expo (ETE) exhibition, which lasted for 4 days, namely Thursday-Sunday, 14-17 Jumadil Akhir 1440 h / 14-17 February 2019 at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC). This activity was attended by 148 campuses from various regions in Indonesia and abroad, such as Turkey, Australia, Malaysia and South Korea.

According to Doctor Dimas, this activity was held in order to increase knowledge and provide an overview for high school students or the equivalent of the world of higher education with various prospects and choices of study programs that can be pursued.

"Students who visited the UII stand showed high enthusiasm and interest in the study programs (prodi) at UII, one of which was of course the Faculty of Medicine (FK). They explored various things regarding FK, starting from how to enter, the selection model, description of exam materials, to tuition fees," said doctor Dimas Satya Hendarta.

It was further explained that the high interest of Jabodetabek students is a great potential for FK UII, hopefully it can have an impact on the quality of the input that will be obtained. In addition, the average student in Jabodetabek comes from affluent families, so based on the team's monitoring, generally parents or prospective students are not concerned about the high cost of medical education at FK UII.

"Many even think it's cheap because of the fact that when compared to other A-accredited private FKs (even with those that are still accredited B), the cost of education at UII FK is still the most economical," explained doctor Dimas Satya Hendarta. Wibowo
