Medicine (UII) – Community service is part of the chess darma of education. Publication of the results of community service that has been carried out has not been widely carried out at FK UII, so this is a suggestion from TUV external monitoring and evaluation reviewers in 2015. For DIKTI grant recipients, dissemination in a seminar and publication of the results of community service in a journal is an obligation and output that must be carried out

This was conveyed by dr. Ika Fidianingsih, M.Sc, attending the 13th National Congress (KONAS) of the Association of Public Health Experts on Thursday - Saturday, 3 -5 Shafar 1438 H / 3 -5 November 2016 in Makassar which was attended by people who care about health and students who 800 people from all over Indonesia.

According to doctor Ika, this activity began with a presentation on health problems and their achievements by the Minister of Health followed by the Minister of Finance regarding the role of funds or the State Budget in helping to improve health status in Indonesia, followed by presentations from the Head of BKKBN and Deputy of Bappenas.

"The oral and poster presentations totaled nearly 500 people and FK UII made a poster presentation with the title INCREASING THE KNOWLEDGE OF BROMONILAN CITIZENS TO PREVENT THE EVENTS AND COMPLICATIONS OF TYPE 2 DIABETES MELLITUS," he said.

From the results of her presentation, doctor Ika Fidianingsih gave her recommendation that health problems in Indonesia are very complex, ranging from malnutrition and food shortages which are at risk for children being born with poor growth and development, which are at risk of being less productive and a burden on society, to lack of education, early marriage. up to overeating which results in various degenerative diseases, which lead to chronic diseases that require continuous costs so that the BPJS burden is very heavy such as hemodialysis which must be carried out for life to heart surgery which is still increasing in incidence.

"The results of our community service show that people still need health information and health consultations regarding a healthy lifestyle and diet. Even though some people already know, an approach to the community, with reminders and motivation is still very much needed," he said.

Recommendations that not only a research road map, but also a community service road map may need to exist. Community service designs that can be carried out at the same time as research designs are also needed from the start so that it will save time and effort, he explained. Wibowo
