Towards an Excellent Teaching Medical Faculty, FK UII held a Working Meeting

Kaliurang (03/10)- Faculty of Medicine management relay Universitas Islam Indonesia (FK UII) from the 2018-2022 period to the 2022-2026 period has been implemented. Starting the management for the 2022-2026 period, FK UII held an agenda for a Work Meeting (Raker) on Sunday-Tuesday, 2-4 October 2022.
The meeting on the first day was held at the Alana Hotel, Yogyakarta, then continued at the UII FK Auditorium, UII Integrated Campus for the next 2 days with the theme: "Growing and Synergizing Towards a Reputable Medical Faculty as Excellent Teaching Medical Faculty".
The FK UII Working Meeting was attended by the Dean, Deputy Dean, Head and Secretary of the Department, Chair and Secretary of the Study Program, Heads of Departments, Heads of Study Units/Centers, and Heads of Divisions at FK UII. The FK UII meeting was opened by the Deputy Chancellor for Partnership & Entrepreneurship, Ir. Wiryono Raharjo, M.Arch., Ph.D.
In his remarks, the Dean of FK UII, Dr. dr. Isnatin Miladiyah, M.Kes, said that the meeting is a faculty agenda to discuss and capture aspirations in order to develop steps to achieve the set goals. One of the guidelines in compiling a work program is the 2010-2038 FK UII Development Master Plan (RIP). Currently RIP FK UII has reached the 2014-2025 stage, namely Excellent Teaching Medical Faculty, Faculties of excellence in the field of education and teaching. Then in 2025-2030 heading Pre-research Medical Faculty and in 2027-2038 it is expected to be Research Medical Faculty. "Today's working meeting will give us a basis for motion, what will we do in the next 4 years, we will discuss a lot and capture aspirations so that the goal in 2026 is as Excellent Teaching Medical Faculty can be realized”, said Dr. Isnatin.

Meanwhile, Wiryono Raharjo, Ph.D. apologized because the Chancellor was unable to attend and the Vice Chancellor who was present at the UII FK Meeting. "This meeting is very important, to determine how we, the Special Faculties of FK UII, will take our position forward," said Wiryono Raharjo, Ph.D, starting his remarks.
The field of Partnership and Entrepreneurship is a new field at UII, so this kind of forum is very important because there are still areas that need to be strengthened. For example how to strengthen fields mainset entrepreneur in the education curriculum at UII. This is important because later that will guarantee the survival of UII graduates, continued Wiryono Raharjo, Ph.D.
One indicator of the success of graduates (doctors, for example) is the number of clients served. There are 3 competency groups spread across the course. First, take the initiative (the ability to take the initiative), for example the ability to cooperate and the ability to deal with uncertainty. Second, managing resources (the ability to manage resources), a hospital can progress because it is able to manage resources. Third, generating ideas and reading the opportunities (the ability to explore ideas and read opportunities), for example strengthening creativity and establishing a vision.
"I really appreciate the achievements of FK UII to date. Some time ago, when there was a visit from outside, they said they were very impressed with the facilities and management of FK UII. This is a very good capital to realize the theme of the UII FK Meeting," concluded Wiryono Raharjo , Ph.D ended his remarks.
The FK UII meeting was continued with the Dean's presentation regarding the 2022-2026 FK UII Strategic Plan Draft and Focus Group Discussions which is divided into 5 commissions namely the Academic Commission, the Resources Commission, the Student Affairs Commission, the Research and Community Service Commission, and the International Cooperation Commission.
