Medical education is divided into 2 stages, namely preclinical education and clinical education. For the Competency-Based Curriculum (KBK), the duration of preclinical education is 3,5 years (7 semesters) and clinical education is 1,5 years (3 semesters). During preclinical education, medical students are given medical theory and skills that are incorporated in one integrated lecture material (Block). Meanwhile, clinical education is an opportunity to practice all theories and skills during preclinical education. Clinical education is often called Coassistant located in network hospitals. After completing the preclinical education period, students receive a Bachelor of Medicine (S.Ked) degree and to start the coast, they must pass the general clerkship exam (Panum) which is a medical skill test. Students who have been declared to have passed the panum exam will be taken for an appointment as young doctors. Then the young doctor will serve as a co-assistant at the designated hospital.

To become a doctor, one must be able to go through a long series of educational and mental training and skills. All of that is none other than to produce competent doctors who are ready to join the community. Not only that, the added value of medical education that is carried out by FK UII is the vision of realizing medical education that carries Islamic values. A very noble and proud shared goal is to revive Islamic medicine. Not many FKs in Indonesia have such a vision, bearing in mind that it is not easy to embed Islamic values in the educational environment. The strong desire to inflame the spirit of Islamic medicine is manifested in a religious curriculum and environment. It is hoped that doctors who graduate from FK UII will become qualified Muslim doctors who uphold Islamic values and have high competence as doctors. To achieve this expectation, from the start, FK UII students were given basic Islamic values that were integrated into every subject taught.

As FKUII students we should be proud because we are not only trained to be doctors but also equipped with the ability to preach so that we have more value when we go out into society. FK UII's vision is not only to achieve a five star doctor, but there is a plus point, namely carrying the mandate of Islamic medicine. It is an honor and at the same time a tough task, especially for young doctors who will immediately apply the knowledge they have learned during their clinical education. Because, not only is the task of learning to practice skills like a doctor but also carrying out the mandate to preach Islamic medicine. The young doctors of FK UII are expected to become Muslim doctors who are charismatic, knowledgeable, competent, and have high sensitivity to society. The time is now to serve, apply the knowledge that has been learned before, and be of benefit to many people.

To become a qualified Muslim doctor, of course, you need to work hard to achieve it, you need more effort to make it happen, and you need high enthusiasm to never give up because you will face many challenges. So for that, a Muslim doctor should have good emotional and spiritual intelligence. In order to become a Muslim doctor as expected, one has to start from the time he was a young doctor to practice Islamic values in medical practice. For young doctors, FK UII will no longer feel confused about carrying out the mandate to become good Muslim doctors, because while studying at FK, they are always equipped with a correlation approach between the application of Islam in medical practice, always correlated between popular science and Islamic perspectives.

Being a Muslim doctor is obliged to have good morals, this is what distinguishes a Muslim doctor who carries out the mandate of Islamic medicine. The definition of morality according to Imam Ghozali is a condition of the soul that has been firmly entrenched, from which charitable attitudes are born easily without the need for thought and consideration. The profession of a doctor in the view of Islam is a moving da'wah. A Muslim who works as a doctor is obliged to realize Islamic values that are fitriyah (universal) in every step of his life. The behavior of Muslim doctors that is realized from akhlakul karimah will always be seen by those who interact with them, this is the essence of da'wah.
The implementation of akhlakul karimah for a doctor can be done in various ways, including developing the character of sidiq, fair, patient, humble, itsar, friendly, and ihsan. The following will explain one by one.

Siddiq, meaning honesty, loyalty (to promises and commitments), words, and doing what is. The doctor-patient relationship is like a transactional relationship like buying and selling. Doctors have knowledge in treating patients and patients fully trust doctors to treat their illness. Here the doctor's honesty plays a role, whatever medical decision the doctor makes, the patient may not know, especially in an emergency. The most important characteristic of a doctor in the position of selling this service and the basis for being blessed or receiving blessings from God is honesty. In an authentic hadith, "Sellers (doctors) and buyers (patients) have the right to make choices as long as they haven't separated from each other. If both of them act honestly and tell the truth, then their transaction will be blessed, but if both of them hide the truth and lie from each other, both of them can benefit each other but destroy the blessing of the transaction. (Reported by Muttafaq Alaih from Hakim ibn Hizam). There are many examples of cases that could betray the good doctor-patient relationship, including the existence of health insurance which is used as a payment system, there could be a conspiracy between the doctor-patient, or even the doctor-insurance party, to provide false information so that it can benefit one of the parties and harm the other party. Another case that occurs a lot is doctors who are under contract with pharmaceutical companies so that in providing therapy doctors require patients to buy drugs according to the doctor's contract even though the truth has not been tested. Such incidents have been common in the world of medical practice today. Again, the patient is harmed.

Fair, meaning putting something in its place, can mean an attitude of life in balance. Allah's Word in Surah An-Nahl, "Verily Allah commands you to act justly and do good, to give you relatives.... (QS An-Nahl: 90). A fair attitude is needed in medical practice so that the patient's rights are not taken away. While studying at FK UII, students are properly taught the rights and obligations of doctors and patients, how both of them respect and respect these rights and obligations. The patient's rights include, the patient is free to choose his doctor freely, the patient has the right to accept or refuse treatment after he has received clear information, the patient has the right to terminate or terminate the relationship with his doctor and is free to choose or replace him with another doctor, the patient has the right to be treated by a doctor who freely determines his clinical opinion and ethical opinion without interference from outsiders, the patient has the right to privacy that must be protected, he also has the right to the nature of the confidentiality of his medical data. The patient has the right to die with dignity and honor, the patient has the right to accept or reject moral or spiritual guidance, the patient has the right to conduct and have the right to an investigation of the establishment and the right to be notified of the results. While the patient's obligations include, the patient must provide correct information to the doctor, must comply with the doctor's instructions and advice, must provide honorarium or appropriate compensation. If only a doctor really understands what the patient's rights are, then he will fully treat the patient very well so that a harmonious relationship between doctor and patient will be easily established.

Trustworthy, means trustworthy. Allah said in Al-Anfal, "O you who believe, do not betray Allah and the Messenger (Muhammad) and do not betray the messages entrusted to you, while you know". (QS Al-Anfal: 27). As a Muslim, of course we realize that the trust we carry will be held accountable tomorrow in the future. As a Muslim doctor who is given the mandate by his patients, he should be honest, trustworthy, and try to meet professional standards and patient needs without making up the truth.

Patience, meaning is an effort to refrain from things that are not liked with full willingness and submission. Patience is required when the patient consults a doctor. A good doctor must be able to present himself fully to the patient. Doctor-patient communication is absolutely necessary. Successful communication between doctors and patients will generally give birth to comfort and satisfaction for both parties. Islamic values need to be applied in communication between doctors and patients. If a doctor is willing to patiently listen to his patient's complaints, information about the history of the disease will also be easier to find out. Because the success of therapy actually takes precedence over the results of the history. While the other steps are only as a support. But the reality of medical practice in general, doctors object to patients telling stories, doctors only ask a few questions and immediately diagnose the patient. If such rights happen, what's the difference between a doctor and a psychic or a dukun, who can guess a patient's illness without digging further into the patient's complaints. A doctor should be able to take the time to tell patients about the things that are expected in a treatment, be willing to ask patients' opinions, and check their understanding, and encourage patients to want to talk.

Tawaduk, means to humble oneself without degrading one's dignity. God's Word in the Qur'an, “Do not turn your face away from people (because of pride) and do not walk on earth arrogantly. Verily Allah does not like those who are arrogant and proud of themselves. Simplify your walk, and soften your voice. The worst sound is that of a donkey." (QS Lukman: 18-19). The realization of the attitude of humility in relationships with patients, among others, always softens the voice, does not boast about his expertise to patients with his arrogance and always puts forward an attitude of listening. Often doctors are ghibah telling the ugliness of colleagues in front of patients with the intention of increasing self-image. Allah said, "And let not some of you swear at some others, does one of you like to eat the carcass of his brother even though they don't like it?" (QS Al-Hujarat: 12). The realization of the humble attitude as a doctor realizes that he is full of weaknesses and shortcomings. A doctor should need to update the latest knowledge and develop the knowledge he has so that in carrying out medical practice he does not make mistakes. A good doctor will not be satisfied with the abilities and knowledge he has, always continues to seek the latest knowledge developments, and has the principle of life long learning.

Itsar, meaning to prioritize others rather than oneself. Today, poor people are often ostracized, as if they have no right to get sick, because they cannot afford to pay hospital fees or pay for the doctors who handle them. As a good doctor, he should always give priority to weak people so they can live a decent healthy life and recover from their illness. Serving them fully and not charging them burdens is a great charity.

Friendly, meaning, love and affection (mahabbah warohmah). The doctor's friendliness and concern should be sincere from the bottom of his heart, not just pretending. As doctors, we should determine what motivation underlies whether it is only the need to seek wealth or to seek the pleasure of Allah SWT. If the initial motivation as a doctor is to worship Allah, the way of looking at patients will be based on mahabbah and rohmah, material problems will follow by themselves. Allah said, "So it is because of mercy from Allah that you are gentle with them. If you had been hard and hard-hearted, they would have distanced themselves from around you." (QS Al-Imran: 159). Rasulullah also said, "your smile on your brother's face is alms". As a Muslim doctor, we should spread the peace and beauty of Islam.

Ihsan, means doing something professionally. As a realization of his life commitment, a Muslim who is given the mandate as a doctor will view what he does as a doctor as a worship that he offers to Allah SWT. Therefore, the resulting performance is always strived for high quality and professionalism.

These are examples of good morals that a Muslim doctor should have. So that in carrying out medical practice a Muslim doctor does not forget his vision of broadcasting the Islamic religion and spreading peace for all people with the light of Islam.

This article was written in the framework of the fourth period of the FK UII young doctor appointment procession, it is hoped that when we go to the hospital for the first time, we understand the vision that has been mandated to us. So that our overall attitude and behavior reflects a good Muslim doctor. While in college, weren't we taught how to behave as Muslim doctors who set an example and treat patients very well? Not only providing medical therapy to patients, but also providing the moral and spiritual support that patients need according to the patient's needs. spread the charm and charisma of Islamic teachings whenever and wherever our feet stand. Apart from that, the most important thing is the unity and cohesiveness of us as young doctors. Show that we are a unified whole that has the same vision to advance Islamic medicine. Togetherness and reminding each other should be principles that we always uphold, because no matter how we bring up the good name of our alma mater, we should take care of it with all seriousness. Always remember in our hearts, for whom do we become a doctor? As we agreed on during the training of prospective young doctors a week ago, this will be sufficient as a foundation for us to start a new chapter of struggle in achieving our goal of becoming good Muslim doctors. Bissmillah, let's start with this mandate with full sincerity and determination to advance Islamic medicine. (medicine )
