Building Togetherness Through Outbound

Bantul (UII News) – Efforts to build togetherness are realized by the Faculty of Medicine (FK) Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) by organizing outbound for lecturers, tutors, educational staff as a way to build commitment to realizing the ideals of FK UII to make its students become "Be Good Doctor Muslim".

This was conveyed by the Dean of FK UII, dr. Linda Rosita, M.Kes, Sp.PK in her message at the outbound event on Saturday, 12 Rabi'ul Awwal 1441 H / 09 November 2019 at Gua Cemara beach, Bantul, Yogyakarta, which was attended by all lecturers, tutors, students and security guard.

according to dr. Linda this activity was held as an effort to build togetherness, to relieve fatigue amidst the very busy work of the FK UII academic community, as well as a means of getting to know each other better and getting to know one another.

It was further said that in this activity, every FK UII academic community is expected to be able to follow the directions from the mentor accompanying this outbound activity, so they can feel togetherness in completing challenges in each game.

"FK UII makes the concept of building togetherness through outbound as held every year, this effort is made for refreshing so you don't get bored, and you are always ready to be excited about accreditation in 2022, even though it is still a few years away, this spirit of togetherness needs to be built from now on, and as a the ingredients are outbound activities this year," explained the Dean of FK UII.

Meanwhile, as the outbound provider, Mas Iwan, said that this outbound activity was packaged according to what was the goal of FK UII to build togetherness. So the games that are played are in the form of team or group games to compete with each other and build strategies to achieve victory in the team.

"Each game will be competed and assessed, for the group or group that wins, they will receive a prize from the outbound team. The games that were carried out were group dynamics games, horse riding, archery, and perfected with an off-road jeep around the Cypress Cave coastal forest," said Mas Iwan as the provider.

As a participant, Lili Gunawan admitted that she was happy and felt that togetherness could be established in the outbound event. Challenge after challenge, game after game, passed with joy and togetherness.

“This is really fun, relieves fatigue and builds togetherness. I follow and go through every game, losing and winning is not the goal, building togetherness is more important and everything," said Lili Gunawan, Tendik FK UII.

In this outbound activity, the UII Faculty of Medicine has implemented eco-friendliness, so that no one brings plastic and the like in the outbound area, and all FK UII academics carry bottles/tumblers to collect drinking water.

When off-road activities take place, all the academic community participates with pleasure, starting from professors, lecturers, tutors and students as well as security guards, mingling with each other regardless of status and work position.

"One jeep was filled with 3 outbound participants, on the way they walked together, when a jeep got stuck or broke down, the other jeeps helped each other, and this became a very memorable moment in building togetherness," added the Lili Gunawan.Wibowo
