The Qur'an is the word of God which is also a miracle of the Prophet Muhammad. It has been widely acknowledged and proven that the Qur'an contains implied and explicit scientific information that was only known hundreds, thousands of years later. Many scientists are still studying and researching the secrets that are still very much contained in the Qur'an.

If the miracles of the previous Prophets cannot be felt by today's people, the miracles of the Prophet Muhammad can still be felt today. When viewed in terms of language compared to the languages in the world, the language of the Qur'an has the highest level. Its structure and rules show the height of its creator. The grammar is complex but amazing, so that anyone who studies it will recognize how high the Language of the Qur'an is.

Reading the Qur'an will bring goodness as the words of Rasulullah saw, "Whoever reads one letter from the Book of Allah (the Qur'an), then for him one good, and one good is rewarded tenfold" (HR. At-Tirmidhi ). The ten goodness that is obtained is not based on every sentence or word but every letter will produce goodness. How much goodness will we get if we regularly read the Qur'an.

In contrast to other languages, the language of the Qur'an is very precise which requires its readers to do it correctly. Different mahroj, long short (mad) in reading, can have very different meanings. There is no language in the world that if read long or short will have a different meaning, but in the Qur'an it can have a different meaning.

Likewise in regulating breathing when reading, other languages do not have rules for regulating breathing by default. But in the Qur'an very observant and thorough. Someone who is reading the Koran is not allowed to just read or stop. There are rules that must be followed so that the reader must control his breath and hold his breath for a moment. This condition can be assumed by the condition 'Intermittent hypoxian.' 'intermittent hypoxia' moderate levels in early life can accelerate brain development and improve abilities, which are associated with increased neurogenesis and synaptic plasticity (Meng, Wang and Li, 2020).

By nature a person after entering old age will experience a decline in function including brain function as also mentioned in the Qur'an surah Yasin verse 68: "And whoever We extend his life, We will surely return him to the beginning of his incident (it). So why don't they understand?"

Research conducted on experimental animals and also on humans proves that intermittent hypoxia it can actually improve brain function. This is in accordance with tests conducted on a group of elderly people, Adaptation to intermittent hypoxia can improve cerebral oxygenation and hypoxia-induced cerebrovasodilation thereby improving short-term memory and attention in elderly patients (Wang et al., 2020)

All around us it is known that the hafidz hafidzoh, scholars and people who consistently read the Qur'an properly and correctly do not experience senility until old age. Thus it can be concluded that people who consistently read the Qur'an correctly will reduce the risk of dementia.
