Kaliurang (UII News) – Alhamdulillah, with Allah's permission, two teams from FKUII have passed as the top 10 of the 2016 Tanjungpura Medical Scientific Competition (TMSC) national level scientific competition.

This was conveyed by Mohamad Rahman Suhendri (2014) when he led the FK UII delegation to participate in the TMSC 2016 which was held in Pontianak, on Friday-Sunday, 27-29 Muharom 1438 H / 28-30 October 2016 with his four friends, namely Ayu Indra Mashita, Urani Nur Hidayah, Wildan Jauhar Alafi, Larasati Cahyaning Edi, and Zulfa karomah.

 

According to Rahman, TMSC 2016 is the first national level scientific competition held by Tanjungpura University. In this competition there are 3 branches of competition, namely, Scientific Writing (KTI), public education videos, and scientific posters.

"After going through the judging, in each branch of the competition 10 best works were taken to be presented. The two teams from FKUII that made it through were the educational video team and scientific posters. The educational video team consists of Wildan Jauhar Alafi, Larasati Cahyaning Edi, and Zulfa Karomah while the scientific poster team consists of Ayu Indra Mashita, Urani Nur Hidayah, and Mohamad Rahman Suhendri," he said.

. In addition to competition, the TMSC 2016 event also presented a national seminar which discussed the controversy over immunization and counterfeit vaccines.

"The struggle to enter the final was not easy, we had to stay up until midnight to compile the work despite the busy lecture activities. Qadarullah, on this occasion we have not been able to bring awards, but Alhamdulillah we learned a lot from the competition this time as a measure of our own abilities and as an improvement for our next works”, said Rahman's impression.Wibowo
