FK UII Graduates: “Become a Plus Doctor”

Sleman (UII)- The Faculty of Medicine (FK) UII on Wednesday, January 15 2020 carried out the 48th doctor's oath in the Audio Visual Room, Moh. Hatta, Central Library, UII Integrated Campus. In this doctor's oath period, FK UII graduated 15 new doctors, consisting of 8 male doctors and 7 female doctors. FK UII, as long as it was established in 2001, has graduated 1.756 doctors, while every year they can graduate 150-200 doctors who contribute to the health system in Indonesia.

In his remarks the Dean of FK UII, dr. Linda Rosita, M.Kes, Sp.PK advised, "For my children who are sworn in today, and the Faculty who have graduated doctors - let us bow our hearts and heads for a moment that this is solely due to the permission and blessing of Allah SWT. This is UII's contribution to this country in building a national health system by providing doctors for this nation and country.”

In addition, dr. Linda also conveyed to FK UII alumni doctors who today carried out the doctor's oath to become Plus Doctor namely the health care providercare providers), community leaders (community leaders), decision maker (decision maker), manager (manager), communicator (communicator), researcher (researcher), and change agents (agent of change) based on Islamic and national values. UII's color is reflected in the 3 figures of doctors namely, scientific, national and Islamic elements.

The doctor's value is a plus, that is, there are elements as agent of change, in other words as da/ah who gives good news to everyone. As agent of change, a doctor is required to make strength in himself first, before he can change other people. The desired change is a change to be healthier, better, more empowered and stronger in facing life. The life of our society today is getting tougher, many people do not care about the problems that exist in them, including maintaining their health and maintaining their faith. (Jo)
