Kaliurang (UII News) – Started his studies as a medical student at the time Universitas Islam Indonesia reopening the Faculty of Medicine in 2001, was an optimistic first step towards a career as a doctor even though FK UII was not yet accredited.

 

The doctor from the first batch of FK UII students had completed his Masters in Biomedicine at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia (FK UI) Jakarta in 2, admitting that it was the big names and achievements of UII alumni that would later bring the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Islam Indonesia to become worldwide, and one cannot deny the hard work, efforts and prayers of his parents and teachers at FK UII who made him become a doctor as well as an educator for prospective doctors in our country.

After graduating from college at the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Islam Indonesia, in 2007, Arif Wicaksono who was born in Yogyakarta, October 30 1983, immediately received the mandate as Teaching Staff at the Pontianak Ministry of Health Polytechnic 2007-2009, Teaching staff at the Medical Education Study Program (PSPD) Faculty of Medicine, University of Tanjungpura 2007-present by teaching courses Anatomy, PBL, Bioethics, Research, KKD, other positions are as Head of Non-Microscopic Laboratory of PSPD FK UNTAN 2010-2013, Head of Clinical Registrar Laboratory of PSPD FK UNTAN 2011-2013, Head of PSPD Competency Test Laboratory of FK UNTAN 2011-2013, and for his integrity received the mandate to become Assistant Dean I of FK UNTAN 2013-2015, then for his work, quality and professionalism, he was elected to be the youngest leader of the Faculty of Medicine in Indonesia, namely to become Dean of FK UNTAN from April 2015-present.

Apart from being the youngest Dean of Medicine in Indonesia, Arif Wicaksono was also awarded the mandate as Chairman of the KALBAR branch of the Association of Indonesian Anatomists, research division of the KALBAR branch of the Indonesian Association of Family Physicians, Member of the KALBAR branch of the Association of Indonesian Enthusiasts and Demographers, with his research fields 1). Anatomy, biomechanical specificity, podiatry, 2). Medical education, bioethics, 3). Population issues.

"Blessing Universitas Islam Indonesia who instills the character of having Amaliyah and scientific charity, I am optimistic that I will become a national cadre who can educate prospective Indonesian doctors, although I still need to learn from other Deans who are senior and have professors, for that, thank you UII and thank you FK UII," he said .  Wibowo/Tri
