Kaliurang (UII News) – Medicine organizes national scientific seminars and workshops with basic knowledge review content covering causes, mechanisms, diagnoses, and the latest therapies regarding conditions related to emergency cardiology cases in daily practice.

Sudden death most often results from ischemic heart disease. The prevalence of sudden death from several surveys in America, China, Ireland, and the Netherlands shows that this incidence ranges from 50-100 percent per 100.000 population. The sudden death rate also increases by 50% due to cardiovascular disease. Unfortunately, the majority of people who have sudden cardiac arrest have no signs that can be anticipated. Only 8% of patients who have a heart attack survive and the remaining 90% die on the road before they reach the hospital.
