FK UII delegation consisting of Muhammad Rafi Falah, Faj'rian Haikal Faros, and Tsaniya Ahda Indrayan succeed reach 2nd Place in National Scientific Poster Competition “Stop Antimicrobial Resistance” Standing Committee on Public Health Center for Indonesian Medical Students' Activities, Faculty of Medicine, University of North Sumatra.

In the series of competitions that took place online from 27 July to 14 August 2021, the FK UII delegation won after competing tightly with 29 teams from various well-known universities in Indonesia, such as the University of Indonesia, Brawijaya University, Sebelas Maret State University, the host University of North Sumatra, and so on.

The work presented by the FK UII delegation was entitled: "Stop Reckless Consumption of Antibiotics, Obey PPKM!". PPKM here is an acronym for steps for proper and rational use of antibiotics. The initial idea for making this scientific poster stems from the rampant irregular consumption of antibiotics in Indonesian society, such as forgetting to take them or not spending them according to a predetermined dose, causing AMR (antimicrobial resistance).

"Globally AMR is a worldwide and multi-sectoral threat, both in the medical, animal husbandry, social and economic fields and in Indonesia itself cases are on the rise. This is exacerbated by the relatively insufficient knowledge of AMR among the public. From here we are interested in providing education regarding the dangers of AMR. It is hoped that through this poster the public will be more educated about AMR and can take early prevention. So there are not many similar cases that occur in Indonesia, "explained Tsaniya. (etc)
