Kaliurang (UII News) – Be a student who is always humble and consistent and respectful to the leaders, lecturers and educational staff in this Higher Education environment that we love.

This message was conveyed by H. Ade Sugianto, Regent of Tasikmalaya as the parent of Violetta Meitrie Sugianto, a new class 2019 student, while giving his remarks at the meeting of the Student Parent/Guardian Gathering Forum (FOSMA) Faculty of Medicine Universitas Islam Indonesia, on Saturday, 10 Robi'ul Akhir 1441 H/ 07 December 2019, at the KH Abdul Kahar Muzakir auditorium, Ulil Albab Mosque Complex, UII Integrated Campus, Jalan Kaliurang Km.14,5 Sleman Yogyakarta which was attended by all parents /guardian of new students class of 2019.

Furthermore, the Regent of Tasikmalaya delivered his speech and stated that on behalf of the parents and also on behalf of the Regional Government of Tasikmalaya Regency, West Java Province, he expressed his gratitude and highest appreciation to Universitas Islam Indonesia Yogyakarta, which has become part of the movement to seek to increase the nation's competitiveness in facing globalization in all fields, by producing intellectuals, scientists and/or professionals with strong character and courage to defend the truth for the benefit of the nation. We are all aware that the nation's challenges in the future global arena are getting bigger, so that the development of human resources by improving the quality of talent-based education is a national priority agenda, and we all have an obligation to participate in it.

"To our beloved children, we convey a message, be students who are always humble and persistent and respect the leaders, lecturers and educational staff in this Higher Education environment that we love. Respect them sincerely, because they are great people who devote their knowledge and love to always educate, train, guide, and motivate their students to become knowledgeable human beings. Knowledge is noble and there is no shame in it, and knowledge cannot be obtained except by humility and istiqomah," advised H. Ade Sugianto.

Responding to what was conveyed by H. Ade Sugianto, the Dean of FK UII, dr. Linda Rosita, M.Kes, Sp.PK confirmed that the challenges of studying at the Doctor Education Study Program (PSPD) require physical and spiritual strength. Physical strength will require more time reading and studying. While adaptation, communication, tight schedule also determine the success of studying at PSPD. Communication and prayers from parents are expected to accompany student success.

"The purpose of this friendly meeting is to invite parents of students to become more familiar with the whole process of the learning system in the Medical Education Study Program at FK UII, both at the level of the Bachelor of Medicine study program and the Doctor Profession study program. Of course, assistance from parents is really needed, because the learning process at PSPD is different from the previous high school conditions,” said the Dean of FK UII, dr. Linda Rosita, M.Kes, Sp.PK

Meanwhile, UII Chancellor's remarks, which were read by the Vice Chancellor for Fields Networking & Entrepreneurship, Ir. Wiryono Raharjo, M.Arch., Ph.D. said that as a form of seriousness in efforts to improve the quality of education, especially in the field of medicine and health services, in 2019, the Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII Hospital) in Bantul Regency, DI Yogyakarta has officially operated.

"The hospital, which stands on 2,8 hectares of land, will later have 250 rooms with more than 20 Polyclinic Rooms and will be equipped with an Integrated Emergency Room with a Medical Team Ready to Come 24 hours.
