ISMKI GROUNDING THE JOGJA REGIO 2019: A Day of Participating in the Community

Sleman (UII News) – Prof. Public Lecture Building Dr. Sardjito Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) was filled with 100 first-year students from five medical faculties (FK) in the Province of the Special Region of Yogyakarta on Sunday morning (10/11) in the "ISMKI Grounded in the Jogja Region 2019". This event is an annual activity held by the Indonesian Medical Student Senate Association (ISMKI), in collaboration with one of the medical faculties in each regional region. FK UII as a member of ISMKI region 3 this year is trusted to be the host as well as the organizing committee for this activity.

According to Danan Budi as the chief executive of the 2019 Grounded ISMKI, this event aims to provide first-year students with knowledge about materials that will later be given in learning in the following year. These materials include: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) delivered by dr. Fajar Alfa Saputra (medical instructor at FK UII's Emergency Block), as well as anamnesis, examination of blood pressure, blood sugar, and uric acid. In addition to class sessions, the participants were also given the opportunity to directly apply their knowledge by providing free education and health services to the people of Candi Dukuh, Sardonoharjo, Ngaglik, Sleman.
