Kaliurang (UII News) – Immunization and vaccination are the most effective methods of preventing infectious diseases. The administration also uses a measure, a doctor will take into account before giving immunizations, especially in children. If a child has a fever after immunization, parents don't need to worry, to reduce it by giving paracetamol to reduce fever.

This was explained by dr. Soeroyo Machfudz, MPH, Sp,A (K) lecturer at FK UII who serves as Head of the Department of Pediatrics, Faculty of Medicine Universitas Islam Indonesia when visiting the editorial office Population sovereignty on Monday, 29 December 2014 / 7 Rabiul Awal 1436 H in the context of hearings on the 13th Anniversary National Seminar of FK UII on the Pros and Cons of Immunization.

According to the Pediatrician FK UII, the immunization program is a process of transferring the body's resistance passively, while vaccination is the administration of antigenic substances in order to stimulate the individual's immune system/adaptive immunity against disease.

"The disease prevention paradigm is a national policy target, and the process of preventing this infectious disease can be carried out with a lifestyle of giving immunizations and vaccinations," said Doctor Royo.

In line with Doctor Royo, as chairman of the national seminar committee Pros and Cons of Immunization for the 13th Anniversary of FK UII, dr. Yeni Dyah Cahyani (FK UII Tutor) accompanying the gathering at KR confirmed that there were so many benefits regarding immunization and vaccination, however, there were still pros and cons.

"To answer this, FK UII held a Seminar on Pros and Cons of Immunization at Jogja Plaza Hotel, January 18 2015, presenting child health experts from FK UII, dr. Soeroyo Mafudz, MPH, Sp.A lecturer at FK UII and from the Indonesian Pediatrician Association (IDAI) dr. Piprim B Yanuarso, Sp.A(K) and from MUI," he explained. Wibowo
