Follow Medical Advances Attend LMS National Workshop

Kaliurang (UII News) – Efforts to increase knowledge and use of technology-based learning systems, online, and electronic media, UII Medicine participates in scientific activities in the form of "Seminar and Workshop Learning Management System” which was carried out by the Association of Indonesian Private Medical Faculties (AFKSI), which was attended by all members of AFKSI, including the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Islam Indonesia.

This was conveyed by doctor Veby Novri Yendri, Sp.THT-KL after participating in the activity with Rahmansyah, S.Kom as the laboratory assistant. The activity was carried out on Sunday, 23 Sha'ban 1440 H/28 April 2019 at the Park Hotel Cawang Jakarta.

According to Dr. Veby, this activity is the result of a collaboration between AFKSI and Elsevier which aims to increase knowledge and use of technology-based, online and electronic media learning systems for all AFKSI members. This is expected to increase the quality and quantity of institutions in the utilization of literacy and publications.

"One of the efforts to get there is by utilizing Learning Management System (LMS) based on digital and internet networks. The compiled curriculum needs to be more stimulating for students to become independent and mature learners and able to take advantage of digital facilities in the literacy process," said Dr. Veby.

Furthermore, it is said that the current learning method is also encouraged to apply blended learning namely combining face-to-face sessions in class and interactive online learning. So this provides interconnection to connect students, lecturers, and various other learning resources.

"As for digital-based facilities that have been facilitated by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education via the web Indonesia Cyber ​​Education Institute and https://spada.ristekdikti.go.id (Indonesian Online Learning System (SPADA))", he said.

Furthermore, after participating in this activity, FK UII tried to make a follow-up plan by trying to apply the method blended learning as well as optimize Learning Management System which has been applied in FK UII. Wibowo
