Relationship of Classification of Autistic Children Based on CARS
with Maternal Anxiety Level in Autism Bina Anggita SLB

Abstract: Autism had become a problem which was experienced by the families around the world, and autism happened on 5 among very 10.000 births. Autism can be classified as light autism, medium autism and severe autism. With having autism child, will give the anxiety to their parents especially the mother. The objectives of the research are to determine the relation between the classifications of autism children based on CARS with the level of mother anxiety in autism SLB of Bina nggita. This research is in analytically non-experimental research using cross-sectional method. The number of subjects used were 23 children with their mother from the autism SLB of Bina Anggita. The data was colleted in two ways, first direct observation of autism children and the second filling out the form of a questionnaire by the mother. The analysis of the data used is the fisher test. The classification of autism in Bina Anggita autism is generally as light autism to severe autism (52,2%). The level of af anxiety happened to the mostly mother are the light anxiety to medium anxiety (65,2%). There is no significant relation between the classification of child autism based on CARS with the level of mother's anxiety (p=0,67).
