FK UII Holds International Conference on Cardiovascular Diseases

ImageHeart disease (cardiovascular disease) is one of the most common non-communicable diseases causing death worldwide. The disease consists of hypertension, stroke, ischemic heart disease, and heart failure. In Indonesia, the average prevalence of heart disease is 9,2% and can reach 17,3% at the age of 65 years. The highest prevalence reached 16,9% in Central Sulawesi and the lowest prevalence was in Lampung with 3,5%.
