MAJESTY 2018 is a scientific event aimed at health and medical students throughout Indonesia. The activity was organized by the Muhammadiyah Medical Researcher Community (M2RC) FKK UMJ. This year, MAJESTY took the theme “Expanding The Possibilities of Women's Health Care” and was attended by 101 participants divided into 37 finalist teams from 21 universities throughout Indonesia. MAJESTY 2018 competes in five branches of competition, namely: Scientific Writing, Scientific Posters, Public Posters, Scientific Essays and Educational Videos.

The finalists competing in Jakarta are participants who have passed the first stage of selection, in which only five to seven teams are selected as finalists per branch of the competition to present their work in front of the jury as well as answer questions put to them. The competition among the finalists was very tight because they also came from various well-known FKs in Indonesia, such as the University of Indonesia, Gadjah Mada University, and so on.

On this occasion the FK UII team made an educational video about early detection of cervical cancer. This is motivated by the fact that the incidence and death rates from cervical cancer are increasing in the world and in Indonesia. For this reason, we need an educational media that is interesting, educative, and can have an impact on society, especially Indonesian women, to care about the dangers of cervical cancer.

"Basically, through this video, we want to educate Indonesian women about the dangers of cervical cancer while at the same time describing how early detection is. We also invite women to do early detection of cervical cancer with a pap smear or IVA," explained Dodi, a member of the Educational Video Team. (dsh/tri)[:in]MAJESTY news
