"On this occasion the FK UII delegation presented a paper entitled New Problems of National Competency Test for Physicians in Indonesia. Improving the quality of medical education is a demand and necessity for the sake of upholding patient dignity and patient safety and for the realization of effectiveness of health services. One of the efforts that must be made is the availability of competent and standardized human resources through competency exams for doctors, he said.

The Biochemistry lecturer at UII FK further explained that in this event the FK UII delegation could also do benchmarks with the Pakistan Medical Doctor and Dentistry Council (PMDC). PMDC is also in an effort to do the same thing to manage medical human resources in order to take part in World Federation Medical Education (WFME) accreditation in 2023 through a standardized WFME assessment system. According to data from PMDC, every year Pakistani doctors migrate abroad, such as the UK, USA, the Middle East and Europe, the number of which reaches 900 to 1250 per year. Pakistan is known as the second largest country after India which sends the most doctors to work abroad, he added.

Meanwhile, on the sidelines of the opportunity to take part in the AEME event, the Vice Dean of FK UII also collaborated with several universities in Pakistan and who immediately agreed to sign the collaboration, namely Azad Jamu Kashmir Medical College (AJKMC). Even the Dean of the AJKM Faculty of Medicine asked the Vice Dean of FK UII to give a guest lecture to Azad Jamu Kashmir Medical College (AJKMC) students in Muzaffarabad.
