In order to realize its vision and mission to form medical graduates who mercy lil' alamin, Faculty of Medicine Universitas Islam Indonesia (FK UII) is required to have good quality in the academic field, one of which is in terms of providing competent and qualified teaching staff. In order to support and maintain this, FK UII collaborates with one of the world's recognized heart surgeons;  Prof. Dr. dr. med. H. Rasjid Soeparwata, Sp.B., Sp.B(K)V., Sp.BTKV(K) – or familiarly called Prof.Rasjid – to become visiting teacher at FK UII.

Signing of cooperation letter with Prof. Rasjid was held on Thursday, 10 November 2016 at De Rijsttafel Restaurant The Cube Hotel Yogyakarta. Representing FK UII, attending the meeting, dr. Linda Rosita Rosita, M.Kes, Sp.PK as Dean and dr. Dimas Satya Hendarta as Head of Promotion and Cooperation Unit. In the meeting which took place in an atmosphere filled with warmth and a sense of kinship, Prof. Rasjid welcomed the contents of the application letter to become visiting teacher at FK UII. After previously having a brief discussion, he then signed a cooperation agreement with FK UII. Later as visiting teacher, Prof. Rasjid will provide guest lectures as well as participating in research and community service activities held by FK UII.

During the dialogue on the sidelines of the signing of the collaboration, Prof. Rasjid also emphasized the importance of FK UII in continuing to maintain and improve its quality in providing the best education for students, including sending teaching staff to school and providing various good facilities, such as a teaching hospital managed by FK UII itself. In addition, the professor who also served as President of the Deutsch-Indonesische Gesellschaft fur Medizin is also willing to help provide link for FK UII teaching human resources who are interested in continuing their studies in Germany. 

“Prof. Rasjid was very enthusiastic and enthusiastic in helping FK UII's commitment to continue to maintain and improve its quality as one of the best medical faculties in Indonesia. Apart from fulfilling the need for qualified human resources, this collaboration is of course also of strategic value in strengthening the preparation of FK UII towards re-accreditation which will be carried out by BAN-PT in August 2017," explained dr. Dimas after the collaboration signing event ended.
