Medicine (UII) – Doctor is a noble profession. Not infrequently, in his hands the lives of human children are entrusted. Dedication and accuracy in acting are non-negotiable, including UII Medical alumni. Hopefully this small effort will open doors for UII to spread blessings in the form of health services for the Indonesian nation and humanity.

This was conveyed by Dr. Drs. Imam Djati Widodo, M.Eng.Sc., as Deputy Chancellor I Universitas Islam Indonesia, when delivering the written text of the Chancellor of UII in giving a speech at the Inauguration and Doctor's Oath Period XLII, Faculty of Medicine Universitas Islam Indonesia which was held on Wednesday, 05 Dzulqoidah 1439 H/18 July 2018, at the auditorium of Prof. CRC. Kahar Muzakir, Ulil Albab Mosque Complex, UII Integrated Campus, Jl. Kaliurang Km. 14,5 Sleman Yogyakarta, which was attended by 76 new doctors consisting of 28 women and 48 men.

According to the Chancellor of UII, which was read out by Deputy Chancellor I UII said that based on indicators accessed on the World Health Organization (WHO) website on July 11 2018, it indicated a general portrait of the quality of this nation's health that still needed to be developed. Neonatal mortality, for example, is still at 70 per 1.000 babies. Maternal mortality still reaches 126 people per 100.000 live births. The role of the doctor is decisive here.

"With this, the concept of a five-star doctor was proclaimed by WHO and adopted for the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Islam Indonesia in defining the profile of graduates, it must really be put into practice”, said UII Rector which was read out by UII Vice Rector I Dr. Drs. Imam Djati Widodo, M.Eng.Sc

The Dean of FK UII, dr. Linda Rosita, M.Kes., Sp.PK, who said that the career of a doctor in this millennial era is wide open to work not only to directly serve the community. You can also take advantage of information technology in order to provide the best health services. With experience while studying at UII, IT systems open horizons for doctors to act quickly, precisely, effectively and efficiently. The development of IT innovation in the health sector will certainly improve the quality of health services.

Until recently, with a new doctor who had just sworn in, the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Islam Indonesia have passed 1.545 doctor person.
