Kaliurang (UII News) – The meaning of the doctor's oath is a sacred covenant because it includes Allah SWT as a form of our belief, with what we do being supervised by Allah SWT. For this reason, doctors who graduated from UII always remember the doctor's oath.

This was conveyed by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Islamic University of Indonesia (FK UII) while giving a speech at the doctor's oath ceremony for the 39th period today, Thursday, 29 Muharom 1439 H / 19 October 2017 at the KH Auditorium. Abdul Kahar Muzakir, Universitas Islam Indonesia, UII Integrated Dictionary, Jalan Kaliurang Km.14,5 Sleman, Yogyakarta, which was attended by 32 new doctors, consisting of 13 male doctors and 19 female doctors.

According to doctor Linda, having sworn in the alumni of FK UII to become doctors means that the doctors appointed today are competent to work in Health Services. And Alhamdulillah, until now the PSPD FK UII has graduated 1.387 doctors, who have taken part as civil servants, lecturers, private practice doctors, owners of hospitals and clinics and many are still pursuing further studies either at the master or specialist level.

"The meaning of the doctor's oath is a sacred contract because it includes Allah SWT as a form of our belief that what we do is supervised by Allah SWT. For this reason, doctors who graduated from UII must always remember the doctor's oath," said doctor Linda Rosita, M.Kes, Sp.PK.

In line with the Dean of FK UII, Chair of IDI DIY, Dr. Joko Murdiyanto SpAn MPH conveyed one of the points of the doctor's oath, which is to be clever in humanizing humans, prioritizing patient safety, respecting patient rights.

"Every time you carry out professional activities, especially, act based on and guided by the Indonesian Code of Medical Ethics," ordered doctor Joko.

Meanwhile, UII Chancellor Nandang Sutrisno, SH., LLM., M.Hum., Ph.D said that the taking of the oath this time also complemented the number of doctors who were alumni of the UII Faculty of Medicine to become 1.387 people.
