Profile

The Department of Anatomical Pathology is one of the departments in the Medical Education Study Program (PSPD) of FK UII which aims to support the vision and mission of the Faculty of Medicine, FK UII, namely as an institution that rahmatan lil 'alamin, through the efforts of chess dharma, namely education, community service, research, and da'wah in the health sector, especially the science of anatomical pathology.

At the undergraduate education level, the Department of Anatomical Pathology organizes Anatomical Pathology education through the system problem based learning (PBL), both through tutorials and expert lectures, so that it is integrated with other branches of medical sciences. The scope of the Department of Anatomical Pathology is related to biomedical science which includes disease processes (pathogenesis), diagnosis, causes (etiology) of disease, and classification of disease, especially tumors.

Quality research in the field of Anatomical Pathology is also continuously developed through the utilization of developments in medical technology, as well as the development of collaborations with various institutions and various scientific disciplines. Improving the quality of education is always carried out through various training workshops, seminars and presentations in various scientific forums both at home and abroad. Professional health services are also continuously developed in order to carry out the mandate of the people, namely to fulfill the need for quality services in the field of Anatomical Pathology. Continuous Islamic da'wah continues to be carried out in relation to the science of Anatomical Pathology, through the integration of developments in medical science with the values ​​of the Qur'an and Al Hadith.

The Department of Anatomical Pathology FKUII has quite a lot of optilabs that can be used for research by lecturers, educational staff, FK UII students and the general public. The Anatomical Pathology Department also provides histological readings.
