Department of Microbiology

Profile

The Department of Microbiology, established at the same time as the birth of FK UII in 2001, is one of the pre-clinical departments that develops education, research, community service, and preaching in the field of Microbiology. Learning is carried out in accordance with a curriculum that is oriented towards the Indonesian National Standards for Medical Education (SNPDI) covering microbiology and infectious diseases. Various studies have been developed to increase the capacity for scientific thinking that can support education and teaching by involving lecturers and staff of the Microbiology department and students of FK UII. In addition, the preparation of textbooks is an important part of the activities carried out by lecturers in the Microbiology department. Community service is carried out to provide benefits to partners related to infectious diseases and education on clean and healthy living behaviors. In the field of da'wah, the activity of making da'wah videos is a routine activity carried out by lecturers.

Microbiology laboratory assistants play an important role in assisting the implementation of teaching in practicum activities. The activities carried out are in the form of accompanying the practitioner during the practicum implementation by practicing according to the material and discussing topics related.
