General information
The Department of Histology FKUII develops education, teaching and research in the field of microanatomy. Histology teaching for undergraduate medical students is carried out in an integrated manner because of the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Islam Indonesia using the Problem Based Learning learning method. The histology learning method is not only carried out with lectures but also practicum and tutorial discussions. In the context of learning histology through practicum, the histology department has a number of microscopes and histological preparations for various tissues and organs. The Histology Department also has several posters that can be used as learning media for students.
The histology department participates in the development of science by establishing routine research work programs and participating in national scientific meetings in the fields of anatomy, histology, cell and molecular biology. To support research activities, the histology department has microscopes, computers and optilab software for reading research preparations as well as a microscope camera for making research labs.
The histology department always supports the faculty's work programs by participating in carrying out community service activities, Islamic da'wah and improving good governance by following up on the results of the Internal Quality Audit. The histology department also strives to improve the quality of management and human resources and has quality objectives.

- Preparations and microscopes for students' regular and independent learning
- Microscopes, microscope cameras, computers and preparation readings use optilab software for research for histology department staff, students and the general public.
The most recent activities that have been carried out
- Course on the use of microscope cameras and optilab software for laboratory assistants and educational staff at the UII Faculty of Medicine.
- Microscopy maintenance course for all UII Faculty of Medicine laboratory assistants.
