Dean of FK UII Elected as Chair of AIPKI Region IV


The 2019 Faculty of Medicine Dean Forum (FORDEK) meeting was held at the Gunung Jati Swadaya University (UNSWAGATI) Cirebon Medical Faculty (FK) on December 13-14. FORDEK is a routine meeting of FK institutions from all over Indonesia consisting of 90 FK institutions spread from Sabang to Merauke.

At FORDEK 2019, the Dean of FK Universitas Islam Indonesia, dr. Linda Rosita, M.Kes, Sp.PK was elected by consensus deliberation to become Chair of the Association of Indonesian Medical Education Institutions (AIPKI) at the Regional IV work meeting. AIPKI Region IV consists of 16 FK institutions, namely: Gadjah Mada University FK, Sebelas Maret University FK, Diponegoro University FK, Sultan Agung Islamic University FK, FK Universitas Islam Indonesia, Faculty of Medicine at Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta, Faculty of Medicine at Palangkaraya University, Faculty of Medicine at Mulawarman University, Faculty of Medicine at Muhammadiyah University of Semarang, Faculty of Medicine at Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta, Faculty of Medicine at Muhammadiyah University in Purwokerto, Faculty of Medicine at Jendral Soedirman University, Faculty of Medicine at Tanjungpura University, Faculty of Medicine at Lambung Mangkurat University, Faculty of Medicine at Duta Wacana Christian University, Faculty of Medicine Ahmad Dahlan University.

FORDEK 2019 also held the inauguration of AIPKI Regional Chairs throughout Indonesia including the Dean of UII who became Chair of AIPKI Region IV.

According to the information provided by dr. Linda Rosita, there are 3 important tasks with AIPKI and will be prioritized in the 2019-2021 AIPKI management with the leadership of Prof. Budu, Sp.M (K), M.Med.Sc, Ph.D namely:
1. Together to improve quality
2. Strong in implementation and regulatory legislation
3. Great attention to assist the government in universal health
The theme raised is What Next on Health Services in Indonesia.

Furthermore, according to dr. Linda, the role of AIPKI needs to be synergized with IDI, the Ministry of Health, and the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. (Jo)
