Still remember how the body manages the food we eat? Yes, food will go through a long journey, from being digested in the mouth to reaching the intestines. Food that is already in the form of small particles, is absorbed by intestinal cells into the blood circulation. The essence of food will circulate throughout the body and have an effect on the body and spirit.

One of the important things to pay attention to in life is to think about what we eat. It is narrated that a shalihah woman advised her husband: "O my husband, fear Allah when seeking sustenance for us. Because in fact we are able to withstand hunger and thirst, but we are unable to withstand the heat of the fires of hell. From Jabir bin Abilla ra., Rasulullah saw said: “O Ka'ab bin 'Ujrah, human flesh does not grow from things that are forbidden unless hell is more important to it (HR. Tirmidhi).

So extraordinary is the effect of food on our bodies that many are told by Rasulullah saw and his friends to prevent eating problems. Word of Allah swt: "O people, eat what is lawful and good from what is on earth" (QS 2:168). What should we do with the verses and messages of the prophet regarding food? So that our hearts are always awake in goodness and sensitive to things that lead to bad things. The efforts we can make include:

  1. Make sure the sustenance that reaches our hands is halal. How to make sure? If we are an office employee, the payslip is important to match what goes into the account. We always make sure it fits or not. If there is a rupiah that is not our right, we cannot ignore it, because it is a questionable matter, which is closer to being forbidden.
  2. Choose to eat well, by following the rules of balanced nutrition. There are portions of carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins and minerals in everything we eat in equal amounts. Leave fastfood, one of the efforts to keep our food in good condition. Healthy food is not always expensive.
  3. Following the morals of the prophet when eating. “… and when he was about to eat, he washed his hands first (Narrated by An Nasai and Ahmad). When eating, the Apostle recommends eating together: “Get together to eat your food, because eating together will give you blessings (Narrated by Abu Dawud). According to Imam Al Ghazali, the meaning of blessing is an increase in goodness. Start eating by reciting basmallah. and if you forgot to say it at the beginning, then you should say it "Bismillahi awwalahu wa Akhirohu". Eat with the right hand, and eat from the closest. When drinking, the Apostle taught to sip it three times and not allowed to blow on hot food and drinks. Ends with the verse: “Eat and drink but don't overdo it” (Surah 7:31).

So perfectly this religion teaches goodness, even regarding food which is the driving force of our body's physical and spirit. Let's together avoid eating unclean food and follow the morals of the prophet in eating so that we are entitled to heaven by Allah swt.
