Learning Islamic Concepts in the Medical Curriculum

Kaliurang (UII News) – In order to increase the knowledge of the Medical Education Unit (MEU) and CEU staff regarding the management and implementation of Islamic concepts in the medical curriculum and to provide insight to participants about institutional efforts in preparing students to take UKMPPPD, the Faculty of Medicine, Indonesian Muslim University (FK UMI) Makasar conducted a Banch Marking to FK UII.

This was conveyed by Deputy Dean I, Faculty of Medicine for Indonesian Muslims (UMI) Makasar, Dr. dr. H. Nasrudin AM, Sp.OG accompanied by 15 teaching and educational staff when conveying the intent and purpose of conducting banch marking to FK UII, on Tuesday, 20 January 2015 or 27 Rabiul Awal 1436 H in the auditorium Lt. I Faculty of Medicine UII, Jl. Kaliurang Km. 14,5 Sleman, DIY.

According to him, this activity was carried out in order to gain knowledge at FK UII about curriculum management for the academic and professional stages as well as efforts to prepare for the Doctor Profession Program Student Competency Test (UKMPPD), and learn to implement Islamic concepts in the medical curriculum.

"Our visit to FK UII is in self-awareness that as an institution that organizes medical education study programs in Indonesia, FK UMI Makasar always carries out developments both strategic and operational as an effort to increase capacity in order to improve the quality of medical education in Indonesia," he explained.

Responding to the visit of the UMI Makasar FK, the Dean of FK UII, dr. Linda Rosita, M.Kes., Sp.PK said she was happy. We are ready to provide the information needed in accordance with the intent and purpose of the banch marking of FK UMI Makasar, that was his speech.

After the welcoming remarks, it was followed by a discussion and handover of souvenirs which was then ended by a visit to the existing infrastructure at the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Islam Indonesia Yogyakarta. Wibowo
