Student team Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) again made achievements in the international arena. This time, a proud achievement was achieved at the ISIF 2017 international innovation contest: the 2nd Istanbul International Inventions Fair in Istanbul, Turkey on 2-4 March 2017 won a silver medal by team 1, and a bronze medal by team 2.

The first team of UII students consisted of Mohamad Rahman Suhendri (Ped. Doctor) Muhammad Alfan Auliya (Chemistry) who is also the head of the UII Student Information and Counseling Center (PIK-M Aushaf), and Sandy Vrianda (Informatics Engineering) with supervisor Hazhira Qudsyi, S. Psi., MA and the second team were 3 female students from the medical faculty Finanda Nisa Amani, Siska Marina and Diva Avissa under the guidance of dr. Syaifudin Ali Akhmad M.Sc. They are able to compete with researchers from various countries such as Turkey, the Netherlands, India, Pakistan, Japan, China etc

This event is organized by IFIA (International Federation of Inventors'), Turkish Patent and WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization)
“There were more than 300 teams from 32 countries participating in this event. In fact, most of the inventions in the contest have received patents and even previous awards.
ISIF is one of the major events in Istanbul, Türkiye which is held every year. 2017 is the second year for ISIF in holding the same event. This event is also a place for investors to look for inventors and research technologies that can be commercialized.

The innovation brought by team 1 raised mental health. Mental health problems are a problem that will never run out, especially among students. Problems that often occur among students such as depression, loss of motivation, anxiety, and not infrequently we even meet some of them to end their lives because of serious problems that are always buried without any treatment from those around them. Seeing this, an innovation emerged that was packaged in the form of an Android application that was directly connected to peer counselors and expert counselors.

Today, almost every university in Indonesia has a peer counselor community (PIK-M) which are interconnected throughout Indonesia under the auspices of the local BKKBN. By using this application, students are expected to get access to consultations with counselors easily, anytime, anywhere, and free of charge so that they can reduce mental problems that occur in students.

In this ISIF event, our team presents an application that is still in prototype form. It is hoped that for future development it will be necessary to carry out further research and the application development process so that this application is ready to be accessed by all students in Indonesia, especially UII students.

Unlike the case with the second team which raised the theme of the environment with "save the tree with GREENTI". GREEENTI is green tissue aromatherapy which is made without wood material but utilizes cassava peel waste in the hope of reducing the contribution of waste from cassava peels, especially so far people only use cassava peels for animal food and throw them away. The selection of this material is based on the high rate of deforestation in Indonesia and is expected to be an alternative to reduce the current rate of deforestation.
The next reason is the high cellulose content of cassava peel, which ranges from 80-85% as the main substance in the manufacture of tissue and paper. This is an important point because the main raw material for making tissue is cellulose.
Besides that, the three students combined the theme of environmental concern with the health sector by adding aromatherapy. The aromatherapy that is poured on this tissue comes from the essential oil of ylang flowers (Cananga odorata) using hydrodistillation technique. The benefits contained in this ylang essential oil include stimulating the Central Nervous System (CNS) so that it creates a relaxed and moodbooster sensation, as well as being a vasodilator agent which can lower blood pressure.

GREEENTI is obtained in an easy, cheap and environmentally friendly way. In the future, there is hope that GREEENTI can be produced and marketed widely, so that the natural balance is maintained and has a positive impact on people's health and economy.[:]
