This activity is a sacred / protocol procession that must be followed by carrying out an important mission as preservation and instilling noble values to continue to make graduates of FK UII as a Muslim doctor who has good morals, is knowledgeable, does scientific charity.

"As a manifestation of the UII Faculty of Medicine's concern for its graduates, the new doctors of the UII FK are always reminded to be ready to be placed anywhere, because UII's vision is rahmatan lil a'lamin, considering that the ratio of doctors and residents in Indonesia has not been able to reach remote areas," said the Dean of FK UII, dr. Linda Rosita, M.Kes, Sp.PK when delivering her remarks.

Furthermore, the Dean of FK UII added that as a Muslim doctor who is authorized to carry out the medical profession after obtaining a registration certificate (STR) and a license to practice (SIP), knowledge must be deepened continuously, sharpening our minds, hearts and spirits as Muslim doctors. who provide benefits for others and help solve the problems of the nation, state and people throughout the archipelago.

On the other hand, currently the medical profession is facing quite tough challenges related to the coming of the MEA era (Asean economic community) where health services will be included, the flow of foreign workers (foreigners) will be opened and the JKN/SJSN program has started which has not satisfied all parties. and there is some erosion of patient autonomy rights.

Facing this problem, the Chairperson of the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) for the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Dr. Bambang Suryono Suwondo, SpAn(K) in his written remarks emphasized that a doctor must be able to think clearly, consistent with the basic principles of the doctor's professional duties as pronounced in the doctor's oath and regulated by KODEKI (Indonesian Code of Medical Ethics).

“Likewise, the general norms of decency, so many laws and regulations must be obeyed. What is certain is that the medical profession must be itself, health sovereignty must remain in the hands, because we are the ones who know our society best. The medical services provided are health services based on the needs of the community. The medicine being developed is indigenous medicine. All problems must be identified properly and correctly, then solutions must be sought wisely through a healthy dialogue process. The medical profession must believe that this group has equality with the Health Office and parties that pay for health, such as BPJS. The tripartite forum must be utilized in an elegant manner to defend the interests of society and maintain the integrity of the medical profession as a noble profession," said the Chairperson of IDI DIY.

In line with all of this, the Chancellor of UII, Dr. Ir. Harsoyo, M.Sc invited UII doctors who had just been sworn in on this opportunity to be eagerly awaited in our society. Opportunities to be involved in the increasingly open profession of primary care physicians should be welcomed positively by doctors so that they can bring maximum benefits.

"Based on the spirit of sincerity and dedication to become a human being with a mission Rahmatan Lil Alamin, we are sure that UII doctors will be able to give their best contribution to this nation and country," said the UII Chancellor's motivation for the new FK UII doctor.

With this inauguration and taking of the oath, the total number of doctors who are alumni of the UII Faculty of Medicine has increased 947 people then the big family of UII is once again increasing its role and contribution to efforts to improve the health of the nation and state, especially through the role of its alumni in society.
