Training on Optimizing the Use of Online Journals

Tuesday, April 4 2011, UII's Faculty of Medicine conducted training on the use of online journals. For several years now, FK UII has subscribed to the EBSCO online journal, but its utilization has not been optimal. This can be seen from the access data which is still very minimal. Because of this, the Dean of FK UII in collaboration with EBSCO took the initiative to carry out training on the use of online journals, in this case through dynamed ebscohost. The training aims to socialize dynamed because it must be admitted that not all lecturers and students know about this service, optimizing the use of subscribed journals and in the end it is useful for increasing the ability of lecturers and students to access scientific information and in the end it can be used to support the implementation of dharma chess.

The training was carried out in a computer laboratory and attended by FK UII lecturers and tutors. The material was provided by Mrs. Noor Ashikin (Singapore). On this occasion Mrs. Noor conveyed the various facilities/benefits obtained from Dynamed, including in supporting the optimization of the CME (Continuing Medical Education) unit. He also promised to provide further training after changing the dynamed format.
