The event which took place on the front page of the FKUII library began at 11.00 WIB and was attended by the Dean, Deputy Deans, Professors, Lecturers and staff. UII Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Edy Suandi Hamid, M.Ec., who inaugurated and gave a speech.
Dean of FK UII, Prof. Dr. dr. Rusdi Lamsudin, M.Med.Sc (K) in his speech expressed his gratitude for this achievement. According to him, FK UII's success in obtaining ISO 9001:2008 was the result of the hard work of all parties at the Faculty of Medicine and support from the UII Rector. As a result, the relocation of the library from the 4th floor to the 1st floor is in the context of making it easier for students to access medical books, whose collections grow rapidly every year, so that education at FKUII becomes more quality. The hope is that the FKUII Library will be the best at UII.
UII Chancellor, Prof. Dr. On this occasion, Edy Suandi Hamid, M.Ec also happily welcomed his success in obtaining ISO 9001:2008, including the inauguration of the new room of the FK UII library. The success of obtaining ISO 9001:2008 for tertiary institutions, according to the Chancellor, is prestige and an important capital in creating a better educational process. "We are grateful that the Faculty of Medicine has succeeded in achieving it along with other faculties. This is a fast step that we managed to do, even though the plans for this international certification have been long overdue. Thank God, at the end of 2009 we all got it, so we also have to defend it together,” he continued.
Not forgetting the Chancellor of UII, in his concluding remarks at the inauguration of the library, said "The facilities, completeness of collections, and library services need to continue to be the concern of administrators and faculty leaders in order to ensure maximum use of the library. As we at UII have ideal planning for the construction of UII's central library which was delayed due to the discovery of the temple. UII still guarantees that the construction of UII's central library will resume as soon as possible even though the design and location will eventually change according to the conditions of the place."
