Comparative Study of the UII Faculty of Medicine Student Executive Board

As a young student organization (only for four periods), the Student Executive Body (LEM) of FK UII needs to add information and knowledge and build relationships with other medical faculties that have excellence as examples for the progress of FK UII. The Dean of FK UII also strongly supports this activity, one of the goals of which is to increase the achievement and research interest of FK UII students. This activity was attended by all LEM members, TBMM UKM representatives, CMIA, Basketball, Football, DPM representatives and supervisor lecturer dr.Sunarto M.Kes. The departure ceremony for the departure of FK UII was led by the Deputy Dean of FK UII, dr. Point Kuntari M.PH. He advised students to gain as much knowledge as possible in this activity.
 

This Comparative Study activity was carried out at Sebelas Maret University Surakarta, Airlangga University, Udayana University and Sanglah General Hospital Denpasar on January 31 – February 4 2011. The forms of activities carried out included general discussions to explain the superior programs of the respective student organizations' activities, focus group discussions namely discussions between similar departments, and visits to facilities owned by faculties and hospitals.

The first goal is the Faculty of Medicine, Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta (UNS), which has excellence in research at its student body. From the results of discussions and visits at UNS, it can be seen that the scientific climate on their campus is very lively, the research institute of BEM FK UNS's BEM students has been able to achieve many achievements both nationally and internationally. The Head of BEM FK UNS explained that their research activities were highly supported by lecturers and faculties. They work closely with lecturers in conducting research, their research institutes also proactively conduct regeneration to find students who are interested in research. The key is that there must be cooperation between students and lecturers that runs synergistically. Hopefully it can be input for all of us in increasing the number of studies which is also one of the points of accreditation assessment.
The next destination is the Faculty of Medicine, Airlangga University, which has a strong history dating back to the Dutch colonial era. There LEM FK UII members learned about regeneration and human resource development, where student activities at FK UNAIR have been used as points for the Achievement Credit System (SKP) which has been approved by the Rectorate of FK UNAIR since 2008. FK Unair also has a Tropical Disease Research Center. Center) and are ready to open collaborations for FK UII students who are interested in doing research there.
At the Udayana Faculty of Medicine, the focus of the discussion was on the world of Arts and Sports of UNUD Faculty of Medicine which was so advanced and accomplished, the BEM FK UNUD explained that the interest of UNUD Faculty of Medicine students in arts and sports was very large, there were even 12 divisions in it, from football, basketball , choir, dance and even bicycle division they have. The event was closed by giving placards and visits to various facilities owned by FK UNUD.
The Comparative Study finally ended at Sanglah Hospital, Sanglah General Hospital, represented by the Director of Human Resources and Education drg. Triputro Nugroho M.Kes gave an explanation about the condition of Sanglah Hospital, including the health service system provided, supporting facilities and not forgetting to visit the hyperbaric therapy facilities and burn units owned by the hospital. The event was closed by handing over a Plaque by the Head of LEM FK UII Andri Markhoni Permana.
