SLEMAN (Ath-Thib) - Medical School Universitas Islam Indonesia (FK UII) received a visit from teachers and students of class IV of Integrated Islamic Elementary School (SDIT) Ash Shiddiq Yogyakarta on Thursday, 24 November 2016, who wanted to know and experience firsthand how learning is described in a medical faculty. The students seemed very happy and enthusiastic to see and try the various educational facilities at FK UII.

After being accepted by dr. Ninda Devita from the Promotion and Cooperation Unit (UPKS) FK UII, was then invited to take a walk to the anatomy, histology, mini hospital, and library laboratories. They were guided by eight students from the UPKS FK UII marketing communications team (MARKOM). At these various locations they received explanations from guides and had the opportunity to experience the sensation of being an FK student, such as seeing cells with a microelectron microscope, getting to know various kinds of preparations of the human body, and trying out various kinds of medical examination tools.

Mr. Irwin as public relations and administration of SDIT Ash Shiddiq who accompanied the students said that activities like this were considered important because they could provide experience and an overview of the world of health that students may not necessarily be able to get in class. "We hope visits like this can continue," he said excitedly.

Contacted separately, dr. Dimas Satya Hendarta as Head of UPKS FK UII explained that receiving a visit from SDIT Ash Shiddiq was a form of FK UII's commitment to realizing its vision as a rahmatan lil 'alamin. Through such activities it is hoped that in the future there will be growing desires and aspirations among elementary school students to become knowledgeable and useful figures for others, one of which is by becoming a doctor.
