Seminars, Workshops, and Hands-on Practice of CME FK UII Circumcision

Continuing Medical Education Faculty of Medicine Universitas Islam Indonesia (CME FK UII) this June will hold seminars, workshops, and hands-on practice of circumcision (accredited by IDI). according to dr. Farhan Ali Rahman, one of the committee members, seminars and workshops are planned to be held on Saturday, 18 June 2011, 09.00 – 16.00, at the Ex-Lab Histology Room (4th floor) FK UII Campus, Jl. Kaliurang KM 14,5 Yogyakarta. While the direct practice of circumcision will be held on Sunday, 26 June 2011 and Saturday, 2 July 2011.

"Seminar and workshop activities will be taught by three speakers divided into three sessions, namely: "Preparation, Circumcision Techniques and Post-Circumcision Care in Primary Health Services" by dr. Agung Widianto, Sp.B, "Pain Management and Management of Anaphylactic Shock in Circumcision Cases" by dr. Untung Widodo, Sp.An, KIC, Ph.D, as well "Benefits of Circumcision and Rational Pharmacological Therapy for Circumcision in Children" by dr. MTS Darmawan, Sp.A," said dr. farhan.

The direct circumcision practice will be held twice, but each participant may only choose one time with the following options: Sunday, June 26, 2011 at FK UII (quota of 50 participants) or Saturday, July 2, 2011 at the Diponegoro Mosque, Komplek Balai Yogyakarta City (quota of 50 participants).

"For participants, we are targeting doctors, co-ass, and medical students, especially final year students who have taken the uropoetics block. The registration fee is IDR 300.000/person, and for collective registration (4 people) a discount will be IDR 275.000/person with a maximum number of participants of only 100 participants so that direct practice can be maximized. Each participant is required to fill out a form and statement letter, and receive various facilities, including: certificates, seminar kits, consumption, and of course knowledge and direct experience of performing circumcision under the supervision of experienced doctors." clear dr. farhan.
