Facilities and infrastructure

Faculty of Medicine infrastructure Universitas Islam Indonesia (FK UII) provided in full according to the needs to support the activities of the Medical Education Study Program (PSPD FK UII).

A. LECTURE
The PSPD FK UII lecture activities were held at the General Lecture Building (GKU) Prof. Dr. Sardjito, MPH. The three-floor lecture building has 5 theatrical lecture rooms and one court/meeting room. This building is equipped with very adequate facilities. Each lecture hall is equipped with good audio-visual facilities and is connected to the internet. Apart from that, the GKU area is also equipped with canteens, hotspots and large parking facilities.
 

 
 
 
 
B. TUTORIAL DISCUSSION
Tutorial discussion activities are one of the main activities in PBL. Students are divided into discussion groups, each consisting of 10-12 people. Activities carried out in 42 tutorial discussion rooms. Each room is equipped with a discussion table, chairs, white board, stationery, flipcharts, 32 inch TV, air conditioning. In addition, because the tutorial discussion room is also used for medical skills activities, this room is also equipped with patient beds, lamps for reading radiology photos.
 
 
 
C. PRACTICUM
1. Biomedical Laboratory
The Faculty of Medicine is equipped with biomedical laboratory facilities consisting of Anatomy Laboratory, Microbiology Laboratory, Parasitology Laboratory, Biochemistry Laboratory, Histology Laboratory, Anatomical Pathology Laboratory, Physiology Laboratory, Pharmacology Laboratory and Clinical Pathology Laboratory. The laboratory is used for scheduled practicum activities, independent practicum and also lecturer and student research. This laboratory is equipped with various equipment facilities which are very adequate.
 
2. Medical Skills Laboratory
To train students' clinical skills, FK UII is equipped with Medical Skills Laboratory facilities. By participating in scheduled medical skills training every Tuesday and Thursday as well as independent training, students are expected to achieve the expected competencies. The Medical Skills Laboratory is equipped with very complete equipment. In addition, FK UII has an OSCE exam room that meets national standards.
 
3. Computer Laboratory
FK UII Computer Laboratory has 64 computers connected to the internet. This computer laboratory is used for learning skills practicum activities, training, accessing online journals and information as well as ebooks.

 
 
 
 
 
 
D. LIBRARY
The FK-UII Library is located in the Main Building, Unit XII Floor IV, west wing of the Faculty of Medicine, UII Integrated Campus. Opening hours Monday-Friday : 08.00-16.30m Saturday : 08.00-14.00. The facilities owned are:
  • The collection consists of textbooks, medical atlases, newspapers, medical journals and magazines, cassettes, CDs. 
  • Library Information System (SIMPUS) that is integrated with SIM UII for easy member management, tracking and lending.
  • Multimedia Laboratory
  • The air-conditioned room is equipped with a study table and discussion table

Apart from the library of the Faculty of Medicine, the academic community can also make use of the university library "Mohammad Hatta". Currently, the number of book collections available is approximately 213.088 copies, no less than 7000 collections added every year to complement the existing collections. E-library as a form of progress in the field of information technology has also been implemented in this new library.

 
Currently users are pampered with an automatic checking system (Selfcheck) both when borrowing and returning books. A security guide tool has also been installed in our new library. This Security Guide is installed at every exit and entry to the book room. Every book that is brought by the user through this tool without being properly processed first will be detected automatically by the tool because each book has an RFID (Radio Frequency ID) installed. Collaboration with libraries on other campuses also continues to be developed both at home and abroad. The UII library and university libraries in Yogyakarta have joined forces with the Jogja Library for All hub. UII targets that within the next year cooperation with at least twenty universities in Indonesia can be established.

E. PUSKESMAS
Faculty of Medicine universitas Islam Indonesia collaborated with the Magelang District Health Office and the Sragen District Health Office in terms of implementing chessdarma. Currently, the Community Health Centers in the two districts are used as a place for practicing young doctors (co-assistant) in Public Health Sciences and also for Clinical Introduction Program activities at the Bachelor of Medicine education stage.

 
 
 
 
 
 
F. EDUCATION HOSPITAL
UII's Faculty of Medicine cooperates with several hospitals as a place for young doctors to practice while pursuing clinical education. Currently, RSUD dr. Soedono Madiun has become an accredited teaching hospital. FK UII is also in the process of assisting other hospitals to obtain accreditation as a Teaching Hospital.

1. Mosques and prayer rooms
a. Ulil Albab Mosque
As a university that carries the values ​​of Islamic teachings, the existence of the Ulil albab mosque for UII has a very strategic meaning for the religious development of all UII academics. Ulil albab Mosque has an area of ​​6450 m2 which can accommodate 1500 worshippers. This mosque is not only used for worship purposes, but has also been developed as a research center in this case, namely the Directorate of Research and Community Service (DPPM). b. Baitul Hadi Mosque
Apart from the Ulil Albab mosque, the unit 12 building is also equipped with the Baitul Hadi prayer room. This musholla is used for prayer activities, tadarus and also religious studies

2. Student Organization Office

Student dormitories are an important part of student coaching and development. UII has two dormitories, namely male and female dormitories which were built on a government grant through the ministry of public housing. The building consists of four floors and 120 rooms. This dormitory is used for student religious development which is managed by the Directorate of Research and Development of Islamic Religion (DPPAI).
 

 
 
 
 
 
6. Sports Facilities
a. Gymnasium
UII is very concerned about the health of all its academic community. Therefore, in the UII integrated campus area, various sports infrastructures have been provided which are very adequate which include sports halls, soccer fields, tennis courts and basketball courts. This facility is used by all academics for sports and competition to build a spirit of sportsmanship in facing competition. It is hoped that with this facility a smart and healthy generation will be born in facing the dynamics of life and global competition.

8. Unisia Polifarma Polyclinic
The polyclinic is a private health facility Universitas Islam Indonesia which is intended to serve health for all employees and students. Health services at the Unisi Polifarma Polyclinic are provided by general practitioners, specialist doctors and nurses.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
9. Language Center (CILACS)
The Center for International Language and Culture Studies (CILACS) is a language center managed separately by the university. This institution provides foreign language courses such as English, Arabic, Japanese, Mandarin, and Korean. In order to improve the English language skills of TL Study Program students, an intensive program of English classes is conducted for two semesters for new students. This program has been running effectively since the 2010/2011 school year. In this program students are required to attend classes every day for two semesters. It is hoped that with this program it will be able to improve language skills for students of the Environmental Engineering Study Program. 10. JIH Hospital
Jogja International Hospital (JIH) is a separate health icon not only for UII but also for Yogyakarta as a tourist city. JIH provides international standard health services with very modern building infrastructure and medical equipment. In addition to public services, JIH also provides special services for the entire UII academic community. In addition, this hospital also has a high commitment to environmental management due to the disposal of hospital waste. JIH is also used by students and lecturers as a medium for conducting research in accordance with their respective fields of competence. 11. Student center
Student center is a facility provided by UII for student activities. This building has an area of ​​3.948 m2 which is equipped with various facilities and infrastructure such as student association rooms, meeting rooms, and also guest houses. In this area students can actualize their various talents and abilities. Currently there are several student organizations such as LEM, BEM, MAPALA, talent interests such as drumband, basketball, futsal, martial arts and so on. Various achievements have been made by this interest and talent activity both at the national and international levels.

 

12. Media Information Technology
UII has developed information technology that is very reliable so that all units within UII have utilized IT for administrative, academic, library, financial, HR, and also asset management purposes. To support activities, FK UII subscribes to a bandwidth of 5 Giga. This amount is sufficient to meet the needs of the academic community.
13. Unisi FM Radio
Unisi FM Radio is a public communication bridge between UII and the community. This communication media is used as a mouthpiece for UII as well as the Faculty of Medicine to disseminate various information to the public, including the "Healthy Solutions" health counseling activity which is held every Monday at 15.15 WIB. The resource persons for the event were FK UII teaching staff. Meanwhile, UII news is a printed media to report various activities that have been carried out by all units at UII, including the Faculty of Medicine.
