WORKING MEETING ASSOCIATION OF INDONESIAN PRIVATE MEDICINE FACULTIES (AFKSI) IN MALANG PRODUCED SOME RECOMMENDATIONS

Private medical faculties play a very important role in supporting the health care system and producing competent doctors, because the number of private medical faculties in Indonesia is greater than that of the state. In this regard, the Association of Indonesian Private Medical Faculties (AFKSI) held a working meeting which was held in Malang on 28-29 March 2015.

UII's medical faculty sent dr. Erlina Marfianti, M.Sc, Sp.PD (Head of PSPD Study Program FK UII) and Dr. Mustaqim, SH, M.Si a representative from the Waqf Board Foundation to attend the event. At the event, the material presented was the Role of the Indonesian Medical Council in Medical Education, Accreditation of the LAM PT Kes Model, Capacity Building for Private Medical Faculties in the field of Research and Technology, as well as Teaching Hospitals and their Relations with the Faculty of Medicine. The meeting resulted in several recommendations for the government for the better advancement of medical education. Some of these recommendations are the need for regulation for RSUD as a Teaching Hospital, Clarification of the linearity of teaching certificates, fighting for clinical educator doctors at RSP to be able to get NIDN, Completion of competency test crackers, adequacy of human resources, determination of student quotas
