The increase in the number of Indonesian population that fills all existing areas, also increases the number of crimes between residents, especially in cases of death due to sharp objects or blunt injuries. The cause of death due to sharp object injuries or blunt force injuries often results in the loss of a person's life. This study aims to describe the most common causes of death caused by sharp or blunt force injuries in the period January 1 2007 to August 31 2010 which were autopsied at the Forensic Medicine Installation at Bhayangkara Hospital Semarang. This research is a descriptive research that is collecting data.

The data used are cases of the most common causes of death due to sharp or blunt force injuries sent to the Forensic Medicine Installation at Bhayangkara Hospital Semarang for the period January 1 2007 – August 31 2010. Of the 74 cases that were admitted to the Hospital Forensic Installation. Bhayangkara Semarang for the period of 1 January 2007 to 31 August 2010, the most common case was blunt force trauma, 40 cases (54,05%) and the location of the bleeding head was the location of the most frequent bleeding.
the most common cause of death was 46 cases (62,16%).
